2012 wheels on an 05?
My coworker bought a new 2012/13 GT brand new last year. He just orded some new wheels for it and was asking me if I want his old ones.
Heres the style he has. Would I have any issues putting these on my 05?

You won't have any issues. They will bolt right on. However t he size of the tires and wheels are probably bigger than what you have on there, so you'll need to adjust your speedometer so it calculates it correctly
Roughly around double to triple per tire compared to the 16". Looking at Tire Rack and Discount Tire, it looks like the 19"'s will run you a minimum of $140-$160 for the cheapest tires they have in that size.
You'll be able to bolt them up no problem. I had the same set of 19's on my 06 for while. You won't even have to worry about speedometer issues, as the overall height of the stock 19 wheel and tire combo is roughly the same as the factory 16, 17, and 18 combos from 2005-2009.
When it came time to get new tires, I upgraded to 20's. Alot more tire selection for better prices. 19's aren't as common, so the prices are much higher for tires than 18s or even 20s.

19 is the better looking wheel over an 18 or 20 by a long shot. Depending on the style of the 20 inch some of them make your car look like a Hot Wheel and the 18 is just blah too old school, this is 2013!!

I'm partail to the 19s as well. Not to say that 18s and 20s that dont look great. But as an overal size I would agree that the 19s are the best. You get a better ride that you would with 20s and then you get a larger fill than the 18s. A happy medium imo. Thats why I'm considering them, but I dont know if the extra cost of tires is worth it

The factory 19's look great on the earlier S197's but tires are expensive compared to 18's and 20's. The prices aren't so bad at an 8.5" wide wheel but once you start hitting 9.5"+ they get more expensive and your choices are limited
Here's mine when I was running some 2010 GT rims. I'm running 19" SVE Drifts right now but actually getting ready to go back to 18's. Just waiting for my wheels to come in (which were a preorder and aren't available yet).

Thanks. Sold them some time back. Running SVE Drifts now. I do like them. I even thought about getting the American Muscle copies, which would have allowed me to get a wider version out back and the offset would have brought them out closer to the wheel well edge.
