Yes, but that's assuming that the dealer will take the order that day. Mine insisted that they couldn't order '07s on the day I went in (which was the first day the order bank opened). They made me wait two weeks which ended up delaying production of my car from the first week of '07 start to the second week. That in turn almost ended up getting my order stuck in the July 4th holiday shut down. So, the lesson learned is have them order the car ASAP when the bank opens so that you can get it quickly. And you also want to order from a high volume dealer and be sure they give your order a priority 10. BTW, my car did come in before July 4th - it was ordered April 1st and delivered to me on June 27th.

Exactly what does it require to signify a high volume dealer? I understand number of vehicles but what are we talking?
I plan to purchase from a local place and use X-plan so that I don't have to haggle and go elsewhere for the best price. There are much larger dealers that are 100-120 miles away. The dealer I'm looking at is big in the area but not as much as the others that are much farther away. They currently have like 6 GTs on the lot. From what I've been able to tell they don't have a huge turnover on them. I've been keeping an eye on them through Forddirect. I've not noticed how they are on other vehicles but they always have a ton of trucks on the lot.
Also how do you check for "blue oval" status?

I ordered my '07 through a very reputable and cooperative dealer (Advantage Ford..Monrovia Ca.) on March20 (started the process a few days earlier...they wanted to make sure all was OK) Car built day 1..June 5. Got "lost" in what we think was a quality check (I've had virtually zero problems)even lost track of where the car was physically....finally arrived 7/18, delivered 7/20. Many cars ordered after mine arrived a couple of weeks earlier....the point is ordering earlier does not ensure you get your car "first" Several others out there experienced the same frustration.

I would like to see pix of Vapor Silver and the other new colors before ordering. Last year, the 1st pix of Alloy Gray didn't appear on here until almost a month after the order banks opened. So I may not be one of the 1st to order.
