When I was shopping around for a Mustang I looked at the V6 and the GT and other than the obvious chose the GT because it just seemed to be a better value. For one thing ABS and Traction control were options on the V6 but standard on the GT. I like the Stainless exhaust too which is the first time in a long time that I've seen true dual exhaust pipes on a production car in a long time. I did notice the little H crossover pipe too but still, no choking the exhaust down to one pipe and splitting at the mufflers is a nice surprise.

Anyway, I loaded up a V6 with the options to make it close to the GT I was looking at and found the price difference was only about 3 grand. Also noted that the Automatic tranny was a 1000 option but on the GT it was 600 and change. I got a manual tranny but still the price difference on the auto was kind of surprising.

Kudos to Ford for making the GT a great value and not trying to gouge customers for a V8 'stang!
