2008 Ford Shelby GT350 that never was.
A 2008 Ford Shelby GT350 was planned by Ford, SAI, and XXXXXXX for Job2 but it never happened. I received the build list about a year ago but was asked not to publish it in its entirety. I post it with one deletion. If you choose not to believe it to be true then you don't have to. But this is what a major supplier forwarded to me.
Exterior
1) Cobra Fender Emblems (p/n M-1447-C)
White inlays instead of the black, placed where the GT emblems were removed, each with the snake facing forward.
2) Shelby Trunk Emblem (p/n 7R3Z6342528B)
Identical to the 2008 GT500, placed on the upper left corner of the trunk lid.
3) Cobra Faux Fuel Door Emblem (M-2301-S)
This FRPP unique part, matches the current brushed style, has the same Cobra snake in the center as the GT500, but no letters, GT350 are not part of the emblem. The emblem simply replaces the stock GT one, and uses double sided tape.
4) California Special / Shelby GT Front Bumper (Fascia) (p/n 6R3Z-6320049-AA)
The lower center lip is body color painted not black.
5) Shelby Mesh Grill (p/n FD-GRILL-375-03)
It has classic styling features with a simple and modern look. Ford would have given the GT350 its own unique grill. Notice the lack of lights and pony emblem.
7) 18” Ford Racing Polished aluminum wheels
8) Cobra Wheel Center Caps (p/n 5S3Z-1130-SNAKE)
Center caps made by Shelby, to set it apart from the average GT. They snap in and replace the OEM pony caps.
Optional exterior items:
Car Color Stripe Options
white blue, red, black
black white, silver, red
blue gray, black
black red, silver
9) ‘GT350’ Side Stripes
Vinyl decals. Ford has removed the dots/periods in between the G and T letters.
10) Ford Shelby Top Stripes (Optional) (p/n M-1620001-FR##)
10” wide stripes by FRPP. The same ones used on the Shelby
Interior
11) Shelby Dash Decal (p/n DF-501)
Small 3” square decal that Shelby sells. Placed on the far right of the dash, in the lower corner. There is a small crease through the center of the airbags cover. The decal goes below this line, but does not cover up the SRS engraving.
12) Shelby GT350 Dash Plague
Dash plague installed between the center two vents. The GT350 plague is modeled after the GT500, not the GT500KR or Shelby GT.

13) Ford Racing Cold Air Intake Kit (w/ tune) (p/n M-9603-GTB)
14) Ford Racing Exhaust : X-pipe and Mufflers (p/n M-5251-R and M-5230-GTA)
15) Ford Racing K-Racing Springs:
16) Ford Racing Dampers: M-18000-C
17) Ford Racing Anti-roll Bar Kit (p/n M-5490-A)
18) SVT Front Strut Brace (p/m M-20201-C)
FINISH: 2008 Ford Shelby GT350
Re: No Scoops
Ford has shown no interest in using factory side scoops or hood scoops.

According to Mr Shelby himself, they didn't do it with the 3V because they were anticipating the new 5.0, and didn't want to have to repeat their work on the motor to continue the line... At least that's what I got from the video shown last night.

Doesn't sound too different to the Shelby GT then.....just minus the 350 badges, obviously.
Whilst I admire the effort gone into creating the new GT350, I think the execution could have been better......in fact the 2007/8 Shelby GT was a great looking car, so using the new CS/GT front and rear facias on a new 350 would have worked well.
However, I suspect that's what going to be used on the roadgoing Boss SE (see the Boss 302R), so all is not lost.

Yup performance wise sounds very much like the Shelby GT. I drove my friends once, the handling was awesome. I think if in addition to the FRPP CAI, if they would also have added the 3V hot rod cams and pushed the car at about 350 HP, all would have been right with the world.
