2007 production totals?

Just wondering if anyone has heard the total number of 2007 Mustangs produced. They should be winding up '07 production and I would think the total should be known by now.

I do need this info for a reason, if anyone can help, I would appreciate the info.

I thought maybe since they are through with '07 production, someone might have access to the production totals at this point.

Can't imagine why they would wait until October to release them.

If they are that bad at counting, maybe they really are making money and just don't realize it yet!

Hi Charlie,

It's about that time. If not already out it should be out very soon. I haven't seen anything yet either. If I do, I'll post it.

Look for 08 production to go down even more - it's time for a refresh - and have it out in July 08.

It is starting to appear as though these numbers will never be released.

There must be a Ford employee somewhere with access to this information.

So production peaked on 06 and has slid? Thats about right from what I've heard elsewhere pony cars have about a 3 year cycle before a refresh is needed (not a totally new car mind you, but fresh sheet metal)

160,412 (2005)
165,762 (2006)
-----------------
326,174 (total)

Hmmmm... by the end of 08, I'd say easily 1/2 million cars. Wasn't Ford only looking to sell 80k units a year?

We all know the refresh is coming. Can't understand why Ford would not want to release the production totals for '07.

I can't imagine they would have anything to lose by releasing the numbers or anything to gain by not releasing them.

Anyone out there know anything about this?

I was going to recommend you ask over at blueoval.com but I see that you have already done so. Usually it's someone on there (a ford employee) that provides this info.

Maybe try asking again in the employee section

I just did a quick check of Blue Oval's links and found the November sales results:

http://www.blueovalnews.com/index.ph..._articleid=624

Shouldn't be too hard to find the rest of the year's results.

...

(two minutes elapsed time)

In fact, here you go:

Thanks for the info, but the sales info is different from the production #s for 2007 MY. For example, Aug-Nov 07 sales include 2008 Mustangs too.

Does that apply to 05/06 as well or do they list it by fiscal year, changing the exact cut off date for sales every year?

If not, it'd be easy to extrapolate 07 sales figures
