I was talking to our Ford Field Engineer the other day about seferal items and asked him about the nav system that is reported to be available in the 07 Mustang.
Got an email this AM. He did a little checking up the food chain and told me it would not be available until mid calendar year 2007.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Ed!

One less option I have to mull over. While it would be nice to have in-dash Nav, I can always get a dash mounted one later on down the road. Or just use a map. Worst case senerio: call someone who can use a map to guide me.

Mid calander year 2007 is July 2. 2007.
If that's the case, the NAV system won't appear until the 2008 Model year Mustang.
Unless he ment "model year" not "calander year".

I heard that $1,600 is the target price for the next generation of Ford NAV systems.
The price of NAV systems will be dropping as new chipsets roll out.
