I know it's early but just curious if there are any rumors out there on new colors for 2007.

Although some of the colors listed in the thread above didn't turn out to be correct, Vista Blue and Tungsten were listed.

 

Another blue - a little lighter (F-150 has this color) and Blazing Cooper - or something similiar to the '05 Focus color.
An option for more color on the inside - offer a standard GT version - and one with more goodies - like an internal trunk release/ power pax seat, more leather options, etc.

 

I would not be too surprised to see the "Bullitt" green come back before too long. Don't know if Ford has any real plans on using it, but I bet it would look good on this body style.

 

Man, i'd love to see that highland green color on the new bodystyle, that would look awesome! Specially with some bullit wheels, black leather, 5 speed manual..

 

Blazing copper? That's a real tough color to pull off, would look great if they got it right.

If it's like an emberglo it could look great. I did a couple of possibilities for this a while back...

I tend to agree with Motor Trend about the 40th anniv. of the movie, and coming out with it then. I think Ford could hold it back 1 more model year without worring about losing sales. And if they do in 2008, wouldn't they be smart to put in only on the Bullitt model and not V6/GT arrays?

Kenny, you are so correct about Highland Green. Blue is my favorite color on a car, and am real happy how Vista Blue looks, but if Ford comes out with this color next year, I am going to be a bit peeved :bang: . I always wanted a "Bullitt" '68 Mustang, but prices for '68 Fastbacks are getting out of hand, even for "junk" ones. I too think, if Ford does this, they;ll wait for the 2008 MY, to go with the 40th Anniversary of the movie. A DHG G, w/o fog lights, different hot w/ scoops, black interior, and dark wheels would look HOT thought.

 

I think it's too early for Ford to come out with DHG. I would suspect 08 would be the year.

 

Correction to my original post. KapitanGT had nailed down Vista Blue and Tungsten as 06 colors, way back in July 04 (4 mos prior to the first 05 arriving and 13 mos prior to the 06).

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the un-used colors mentioned in the previous thread were new for '07. I'd love to see a Lime Gold along side a Legend Lime.

 

I would love to see DHG added to the pallete... even a Black Jade (or Jade Black) would be a good dark green to be had.

Ford is crazy if they don't offer DHG with this bodystyle.

 

i have the pleasure of seeing Highland Green everyday, I was even thinking of painting my 06 that color as well, what I will probably do is wait till 08 and trade in the 06 for the Bullitt model...it looks like a win-win to me!

Mike, you have the same thoughts I have been having. If Ford DOES offer a 2008 Bullitt, with some performance upgrades, I will seriously look into trading in my 2006 for it,as a '68 GT "Bullitt" is my (affordable) dream car, and the 2008 would work quite well in place of it.

So far as I know its down to either the Mach 1 package or the Bullitt package. Both are fine with me, I just hope the #'s are kept low for the SE's.

Heck, bring back all the Grabber colors via a Grabber special edition (just like you did back in 1970).
