Thanks for posting this!! I like the grabber orange better on the color chart than I have seen it in pictures, gives me renewed hope that this color is going to look great. Also, the Aqua Blue Clearcoat Metallic reminds me of Gulfstream Aqua from the 60's.
Is it me or does the Alloy look lighter than the pictures we've seen and with a hint of brown?

Thanks. My favorite 1969 mustang color was Gulfstream Aqua, and I wonder if Aqua Blue Clearcoat Metallic might makes it way to the Mustang in 08.
It's possible. Mineral Grey was an option on the 2004 Ford Excursion and Explorer (a year before it was available on the Mustang), and Satin Silver was an option on the 2004 Ford Escape (a year before it was available on the Mustang).

The Alloy on the color chart looks better than the real thing, IMO.

btw, thanks for posting the chart.
STOP THE PRESSES!
Is it me or what? The U3 chip on the available .pdf link is not labeled 'metallic' AND if you look at it compared to the other metallic swatches, you clearly cannot see the metallic qualities as you can in the others.
I believe the actual color WILL be 'metalllic' but the swatch is NOT. I say this based on all the pre-production photos I've seen. But then again, they're pre-production.
What if this color ends up NOT being a metallic? Screaming Yellow, the color it replaces, was not.
THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMM...

Yep.
I wanted MG on my '03 when I bought it, but I was SOL. Looked great on that body style, but they replaced it Dark Shadow Grey. Funny thing is, DSG would've looked better than MG on the '05, but apparently someone at Ford didn't think so.

Just a casual observation, at best. Seeing how I've got one on order, I am more than mildly curious...

These are the highest fidelity shots I could find and it doesn't look like there is any metallic in it. May not be high enough fidelity to see it though.
I hear ya, Topnotch. But even though it's a Ford website, I'm not convinced they're correct. That site in particular has had issues in the past. I have my dealer calling tomorrow and 05stangkc sez his color chart is NOT metallic.
I fear the worst.

Metallics are a big pain down the road (for touch-ups), but I noticed the Metallic Orange Corvette and Dodge Charger R/T look AWFUL on a cloudy day while an orange Ford Mustang (99-04) looks great on a cloudy day.
I guess metallics just suck overall when it's not bright and sunny; meanwhile, our basic Ford yellow's and orange's will always look bright and cheery on a lousy day.
