2007 Avanti...
For a while, they were building these on the F bodies.
I guess there's a buyer for everything out there, but IMHO, the Avanti style has been milked dry...I think it's time they put this one to bed - I don't think they can improve on the original.

LOWERING SPRINGS needed on those 4x4s
Anyway, check out this Studebaker innovation, the original XUV?

I drove for Avanti Motors back in the late 80's. We drove brand new Avanti's to the Chicago Railyards off Roosevelt. $25 and a meal, you go as fast or slow as you want. We would take 4 new cars up and somebody would drive the chase car (Paxton powered Avanti serial # 3 off the line when it was still owned by Studabaker) to bring us home. We did this part time when I was a South Bend FireFighter.
I think it looks kind of cool. IMHO it looks better than the original Avanti, which if you've seen one lately really has old looking proportions. Also looks a lot better than those rectangular headlamp models. But I won't be spending my $$ on one, it's not that cool.
Seriously, though, maybe there was an Avanti club cruising around this weekend or something
?

. The design integrity of the original is lost on this version. It looks cobbled together. Raymond Loewy must be turning in his grave about now...
