So I see that the thread title has been updated to say there are "new pics" and I'm looking to see them. I was hoping for something on a car.

Same here. I like the retro concept. However, I am glad I got an 05 with a free running pony. Maybe when I actually see it, I might change my mind.

 

Is the grill pony going back in the corral for 2006?

 

seems like it is for the pony package on the V6. Doubt it on the regular V6 or GT. I might like the corral if it was shaped like on the previous body style - trapezoidal

 

I think the trapezoidal corral wouldnt look as good on the new stang as it did in the 99-04 stang, because trapezoidal was the shape of the grill also.

Sooooo, the 06 v-6 will look basically like the 05GT with smaller fog lights?

 

Me thinks my 05 will have to get an 06 grille update when I have the cash.

Despite all the hype about the Mustang you'll probably lose money on a used car if there is any significant mileage on it.

I'd just buy the pony package grill aftermarket it and install it. It really is the ONLY change worthwhile .

 

ROCK ON!! I LOVE this grille!! I was on the verge of buying the GT grille/ driving light combo off of eBay, but this grille with the corral and spears is dead-on for the look I want with my car. Now it's just a matter of waiting... <<drums fingers on table>> Ready yet? No? What about now? Argh!

BTW, I'm sure you stang nuts know this already, but this is a dead ringer for the grille treatment on the '66 Mustang GT (except for the honeycomb pattern). Check it out:

Here's a pic that shows the grille a little better, this is also a '66 GT. It's been a while since I was up on old stangs, but I think the even years had the spears and the odd years didn't.
