"Love it, but foglamps only belong on GTs." Looks to be the winner so far.

I dont get it it. Why do fog lamps belong on GT's only? Do the V6 Stangs not run into fog? Thats some wierd voting. I really think that fogs should be an option on both the GT and V6. The GT is no more special than the V6 for fogs to be standard. This is a safety thing and should not be considered for looks when the car is being sold from the manufacturer. Just my opinion.

I voted: Love it! I hope it'll fit my GT!

It's not about safety. True fog lamps should be yellow or amber and mounted as low to the ground as possible. White lights mounted this high only illuminate the fog. These are more like driving lights, and were a staple of the 1965-1968 Mustang GT.

I didnt know they were mostly considered driving lights. So I wonder why we and Ford calls them Fog lights? Just another marketing deal I guess?

When it comes to the color I dont believe I have ever seen yellow fogs on any car built within the last 5 years if not longer. Also, all the fogs on any other car I know are indeed mounted low to the ground but again they are not yellow. I wonder why that is?

By the way I am not a car expert nor am I trying to prove you wrong. I guess I am mostly confused now. You would think that it would be a safety regulation that when a manufacturer call them fogs they must be yellow and mounted to the ground. This way, when we get a car with fogs we can put them to use for our safety.

The fogs are one of those items that destinquishes the difference between the V6 and the GT. Like the dual exhaust......it is just one of those options that make the GT a GT...besides the engine size, these subtle options are what makes the GT what it is......& different from the V6.........if you want the added perks, get a GT!!

I see where your coming from. I guess it just doesnt bother me now that the fogs are on the V6. Maybe I am just too open minded being a GT owner. I think it justs adds a good look to the car. Maybe Ford should have had the fogs as an option on the V6 so some of the GT owners dont get upset.

LOL. That was my point earlier as well but it appears that they are not fog lights according to Brad. They are driving lights.

Marketed as fog lights to show the retro feel of the mustang. That was their purpose.

I wanna say you're wrong on this one. Thai-Tang was quoted somewhere (believe it was Mustang Enthusiast Part 1 of the 2005 Mustang) saying that the GT Fog lights are truly fog lights. They pass some NHRA standards (or some standard) that qualifies them as fogs. Most other low-lying fog lights are actually driving lights.

Also, in order to be a effective as a yellow light, it needs to be an actual source of yellow light. If you have only a filtered lense, you're getting less lumens out of the light since it takes out the other spectrum, and a non-filtered white light would do you better.

And how about a "I like it, but wouldn't want it." Vote?

Now this makes much more sense than anything so far. I have heard the quote as well but I was not for sure.

Very good point!

HEY!

How come YOU can edit polls and WE peasants can't?
That's it! I am calling for a boycott.

It has too much chrome. I think it would have been better with a similar finish as brushed aluminum. I find the design and size to be perfect. It might be a good mod for the GTs. I would sand the chrome off, prime it, give it flat black coat, and a semi gloss clear finish.
