That's a nice looking V6. I wish Ford would move the side stripes lower down on the rocker, but that's a personal preference. The new grille looks nice, IMO...I wonder if you'll see anybody retrofit it to a GT? That would be a first!

I agree that it's weird that we have not seen any 2006 pics yet. Production begins in August, and they certainly want pre-orders...do they think the first several thousand people like preordering blind like this?

Pony Package = yes
in Canada
No pricing yet, but its there.
boomer...questions questions (for canadain models)

-spoiler delete for pony package?
-spoiler delete for default version V6? (didnt know what else to call it)
-bullit 17" wheels options for default version V6?

car i would like:
06/V6/vistablue/auto/spoiler delete/17" bullits/Iup/leather/abs/active theft/side air/shaker500

what i fear:
abs and bullits only for pony package and thus i get that darn wingy and side stripes

There is a stripe delete option for the Pony. That's what I ordered. OK, so it looks like a GT. NOT, it looks like a MUSTANG. WAH!!!!

Tom, I can't remember some stuff off the top of my head...but...
Theres only one delete package..its for the GT only.
pony comes with the spoiler

Although i can't confirm the wheels from the sheet. If its bullitts in the states, its bullitts here. The package is the same. If you buy the 6 no pony, you get the 16s

Does anyone know if the 2006 will come with the intake manifold cover that the show cars had?

Thanks.

The Pony package really needed a set of distinct wheels. It really just looks like a glam-rock version of a basic 05 GT. Don't get me wrong, it's cool but it blurs the line between V6 and GT and ends up just looking like both, or neither. Y'know?

Beautiful color! Not a fan of that grille at all. I like the 05 version much better.

I agree the 05' grill is much nicer. Too bad you can't really make out the Tungstun.

Weren't the Bullitts standard on the 2005 GT and the Machined aluminum the upgrade??

Just wondering

The 05 Mustang grill is better, now it is the standard package for the 06 Mustang?

I'm loving the grill, the more retro the better. Side scoops, ducktail spoiler, louvers, just keep it retro and keep it classy. Kinda ironic that a guy born in '85 would have so much love for the classic look.

I'm glad I'm not like that, or I would be wanting a 1940 Ford!

The grill, I can take it or leave it, but I like the smaller fogs. I don't care for the spoiler, but I can live with it considering the price. Subtract the cost of ABS/TC ($775) and the spoiler/stripes ($295) from the Pony package, and you're left paying $125 for an upgraded suspension and 17" wheels and tires! That's a steal man. $125 won't even buy you a rear bar aftermarket.

I'm wondering about the brakes; does the Pony get the larger front rotors from the GT?

All I can say is WOW!! I'm going to have to seriously consider ordering an 06 Pony and sell my 05 outright. I love every single thing they've done. Maybe I'll keep my 05 and order an 07 Pony vert to eventually replace our classic 66 vert.
