With current demand so high for the 2005, and the supply not keeping up, I am going to wait for the 06's.

So I've heard that a new option would be 18" wheels on the 06. Any other new options that might be available?

Right now, the 18" fanblades are still in question, from my understanding. The only other option that I've heard of is new color of black, Ebony, and the color Titanium.

I don't think that a change in MY will cause those issues to magically disappear.

I still believe there will be an high performance gt/mach/svt model available in 06. I know we keep hearing a 07 cobra being unvailed in a month. I'll say it again. Why will there be an 07 being introduced at the beginning of 05? I think the car being unveiled in New York next month will be for the 06 production line. Now, if they are just unveiling a 07 cobra concept car in advance, then that'll make sense. I just don't think a 07 production car will be introduced. I forgot to add IMO. If we do see a 07 concept car, who cares. Ya, it will be cool to look at, but won't look anything like the 07 production car.

Yes, I would like to see a SE model Mustang for '06 that is done by Ford, not a Shelby or SVT model. I think the chances for one are slim to none.

A Mach 1, Boss, Bullitt or whatever would be a nice addition to the Mustang line-up. Lets face it, there can NEVER be too many Mustangs. Variety is the spice of life.

Where'd you hear that? That would be great if Ford changed their minds about the fanblades. Man what an UGLY wheel! Maybe they'll come out with a better looking 18" wheel.

The cobra model being unveiled at the New York Auto Show is the 2007 production version. As of now, it's scheduled to come out midway through the 2006 model year, as a 2007 (a little over a year from now)

Someone here posted that they contacted their dealer and that was the dealers response.

I think that the 18" fanblade is very nice for a stock wheel.

There's going to be a couple color changes for '06: Added: Colorado Red, Ebony, Lime Gold, Titanium silver/grey, and Vista Blue. Gone: Torch Red, Legend Lime, Sonic Blue and "Black". I don't know how many differences there can be in black, but apparently Ebony is replacing it so there must be some if they're making the change.

Also, the fanblade 18'' wheels will be available. Other than this, nothing is really known yet.

And in case you're wondering, I got this info here.

If you want a retro Stang, don't wait forever. After three to five model years, we may see this new body introduced.

Motor trend was dead on with this configuration and they didn't pull this photo out of the air.

That photo was released several years ago. Motor Trend also published a picture of a blue ICAP, so take whatever you hear from a car magazine with a grain of salt.

What do you mean "dead on w/ this configuration"? This is the first I've seen/heard anything on that sketch.

Ford has gotten such good praise on the '05 mustang, why would they be so quick to change it?

Current history would tell you otherwise. For example Fox bodies, the SN95 bodies. These all lasted for more than 5 years.
