I was just curious if anybody knows when they officialy start running the next model year vehicle off the line? Usually you start seeing them on lots in Oct. so if they take two months to build and deliver, that would be like Aug or July. Since my order has been in since 10/27/04 and still clean and unscheduled do I have a better chance of getting one of the first 06's or one of the last 05's? :bang:

I too have been waiting a while for mine. I've been talking to my GM now at the dealership. Yesterday they had a meeting with the Washington Regional Manager and he said that for our region, they get 50 GT's per month, there are 600+ on order for our region. They are supposed to have a SUPER big wig meeting next week with Ford and TRY to get things hammered out. I was told mine WILL be pulled today. Hang in there, things might be changing. As for when they will make the 06, do a search there was just a post not too long ago about it.

Wouldn't you have to re-order for an 06 if you had ordered an 05 and it wasn't built? If that's the case you should probably decide soon as it has been posted that order banks for 06 open May 16th.

I am waiting on an 06. Option list should be out May 16th or before. Hope to order then for a Sept. delivery.

As for the Kansas City region, I was number 41 as of two weeks ago. Hoping people start dropping 18G for 18R.......

Same here... I'd be lucky to get an 05 with me not being able to order until May at the earliest. So I've decided to be among the first in line for an 06 and hope to have it by September.

The question is, are the 06's going to be as hard to get as the 05's? I think so. The new model year probably won't clear up the back log.

If they are backed up, they are backed up. What's the difference going to be with which model year it is?

Maybe it will give some a chance to get their deposit back though. "I put a deposit on an 05, not an 06"

with the way it sounds like with everyone trying to get one and the supply not being there I think we might actually see a mustang with a decent resale value!!!!

Until Ford gets in line with the markets in late 2006 or 2007, and Mustangs are a dime a dozen like the last body style was.
