if I was in charge of the world I would ban white cars- speaking from experience.
Give me cool color cars..... Orangey reds, Blacks, Cool Blues, Fun Greens...

White looks awesome on the current car. I think it is my favorite color for driving at night with. :worship:

Some cars, C6, look like crap in white though.
I am just bored with white- I have been driving a sedate boring arctic white general maintenance Bore-lero for 4 years- time for a change to the flashier. I would rather be more Stacey's mom than Elvis' mom. [/b][/quote]
Understandable. I feel the same way about my black car 50% of the time. Wish I had something that showed up a mile down the street or, even better, wish I didn't have to clean it every 3 days to keep it looking nice.

I have been waiting a while to say it but ....

GM is run by a bunch of fools in suits that could care less about there 60K image leading sports car having the same crappy paint colors as a base Aveo. Not only that the tools screwed up the bright red on the new Vette. You would think they would want to get that right considering something like 60% of Vette sales are bright red.

i think pretty much every company is run by a bunch of fools in suits that could care less.... all they do is sit back and get mega stock options for doing basically nothing.

edit. just saw this in the news about an airline...

Former chairman and chief executive "lucky SOB" resigned over executive pay issues his base salary was $811,125 a year. BASE salary not bonus and stock options etc.

now lets see... what do these people do for that kinda $? go to work at 10am leave at 2pm, play golf 3 days a week, 6 weeks vacation, have another bunch of overpaid managers actually running things, make a speech now and then? just my guess

I wouldn't fret too much until you've seen the car in person in that color. Just to give you an idea, colors can be very deceiving:

http://www.geocities.com/yomocomobomo/ok.txt (don't worry, it's a picture, geocities is dumb about hotlinking and my primary server is down)

That was just a slight adjust of RGB hues in Photoshop. I haven't seen the car in person so I'm not sure which is close to the real deal.

legend lime is gonna be lighter from everything i have seen...

not sure if the above comparison was supposed to make them look more similar or what but the 05 is still lighter.

edit.. well the pic comparison i was responding to is no longer there...

Judging by the turn around brought on by Bill Ford I would have to disagree with this statement. He seems to care very much. At least Ford is giving us more than 8 crappy choices.

You are correct on the pay these guys get though. The execs that run the business I work for get anywhere from 15 to 30 million in stock every year. Talk about benefits.

Yeah I agree with you BlackRider, based on how Bill Ford is and has changed things around I also have to disagree with hdwrench. Bill Ford is basically in control of everything to make sure that quality will again be there in all of the products esspecially his baby the Mustang. Lets not forget that Bill Ford has always said that he has always loved the idea of driving down the coast in a red convertible mustang gt and that he wants Ford's quality to on par with the best in the world. As far as I know he's doing it, and IMO he's doing rather quite fast. Esspecially when you think that the last time Ford had real quality in their products was pretty much back in the muscle car era and even then it was still going down hill. That was because Bill's grandpa had the same views on quality as Bill does. When Bill's dad was CEO of Ford Motor Company the quality just wasn't there. On that point I agree with what hdwrench said, but as far as how Ford is being run now by Bill, that's where I disagree.

Candy Apple Red was first available on a Mustang in 66 - my fastback's original and current color. I would DEFINITELY buy a new Mustang in CAR if it's available... my wife would kill me though - that would be three red Mustangs in the driveway!

My Husband won't kill me because we have ZERO mustangs in the driveway right now.

And I am swearing to ya, if ford made a CAR mustang, it would be the first red car I ever drove! There is a "candy apple red" you can have painted on that is more apple than painty. Close to redfire.

As for Redfire, I wish It was a hare more orangey. But I LOVE the way it looks under lights.

Pink "might" actually be an upcoming color.

There was a news paper article not too long ago, wish I would've kept it  Asking the automakers where they get ideas for their color choices on cars. What did they say.... "We get most of our color choices based on what people are wearing."

It's true. All these oranges came out... a year or 2 before that orange was a popular fashion color. Samething happened with the many shades of greens we had.

And with PINK being the new "Black" right now.... I kinda see it happening. Actually... I'm hoping it does. But I liked those Mopar pink colors. So, I'm only half joking when I said pink

that would be interesting- but not the nasty pepto pink some cars are wearing right now. Hot screaming pink would be very cool- and guarantee no man would ever be seen driving my car. Double bonus.

I think "Legend Lime Gold" is the full name for the 2005 color. I've seen it typed that way several times in reference to the 2005. So it's nothing new for 2006.
Legend Lime and Lime Gold = same thing.

Also - you can't judge whether or not the 2005 color is lighter than the 1968 color based on two photos taken at different times in different places by different cameras. Do you know how easy it is to under or over-expose a picture?

Your right, Pink is hot right now... even the guys at my school wear it but then again, they all probly took a curve in the line... they act like it... I would think that we'll see it in the next 3 or 4 years being that Playboy Pink was offered in 67 and the 05 is modeled after it...
