I think Le Mans-style stripes have become a Roush trademark in recent years:
Well then it remains to be seen what happens with Shelby once again working with Ford. Remember these pictures were from an era when Shelby was a non entity. Either way I will not lose sleep over it. These stripes have become more than part of Roush. They've become part of the Mustang's psyche. I definitely want them on my SE/GT350!!

I drove a white/blue stripe 360R last week, I was very impressed. This car is gonna rock. And the Cobra will be even better. It's a great time to be a Mustang fan.

I HATE teases. But That Roush reverse flow intake hood might work well with the front intake on the 05.

My guess is that that "something" will happen to be the first Shelby Cobra model and we all know it will be called GT-350. Then my guess is that the GT-500 will probably come out aout a half a year to a year after the GT-350.

I'm looking forward to this. I don't think Ford would tell them not to use stripes after the last few years, regardless of Shelby.

True, but that was before Shelby got back in with Ford. Now it's anybody's guess. I think Jack will let Carroll take the stripes.

Uh, What??

If you are saying they wont let them make a shaker, because ford may come out with one later, then I gotta disagree with you. Ford let Saleen and Roush put Super chargers on their cars even tho the S/C cobra was going to come out. Classic designs concept actually had the shaker designed and on the market before the Mach came out, so it is possible that someone will do it, even a mustang tuner.

Besides, who is Ford to say who or what anybody does to their Mustang after it is bought. They can't trademark stripes on a Mustang, and they certainly can't trademark a shaker-type hood.

Unhappy

This is an interesting scenario. With the classics resurrected. The classic themes are bound to collide between the old and the new. What's going to happen next? Will it be a free for all? Mix and match stripes, scoops from different themes with no holds barred? If the answer is yes then it will no longer be a simple matter of telling a Roush apart from Shelby say 1/4 mile away. In effect with the return of the classics the multitude SE combination has multiplied. The consequence, it will be little more challenging to distinguish between SE's without looking at the badge. Which in turn will make each SE visually less significant. I am hoping in earnest we are not heading down this road.

I talk with Scott Hoag head designer of the Bullitt and Mach1 project , now working for himshelf with his own company http://mustangracing.com (MRT)

I ask about functional sharker for 05 Mustang GT, he me Ford won't let after markets compies to make functional sharker until after mid 06 , because Ford is coming out a LTD Mustang maybe

Ford Cant do that. Aftermarket compaines can do whatever they want. That is why they are called "after" "market"! Meaning after the product has been marketed, or in other words purchased. After the purchase ford has no legal control over the product. Now if Ford has a legal contract with Roush, Saleen, etc specifically stating they cannot make a shaker then those companies specifically stated in the contract cannot, but CDC or any other company can do whatever they want. No way for can say aftermarket cannot make one.

Yes, they can make a shaker system for the 05, but the companies probably want to stay on the good side of Ford. Afterall, which is better, selling a couple hundred shaker system in the aftermarket to consumers, or selling a couple THOUSAND to Ford?

Its is much more lucrative to keep Ford happy. B)

You just hit nail on the head. Ford is maybe coming out with LTD. mid 06 Mustang

some people are saying looks like little bet of the GTR with shaker hood.

It could be the new Mach1 or the Boss
