2005 Mustang Screensaver

I was running the 2005 Mustang Screensaver with the rotating Mustang at work when the corporate IT people contacted me.
The file '2005 Ford Mustang.scr' was apparently collecting keystrokes and then trying to upload it to some remote site on the internet. They were unable to find what site it was trying to upload to, and fortunately they Cisco security agent program prevented the uploads.
I want to contact the Ford Webmaster and ask about this but I haven't been able to find an email to send to. If anybody has an address, could you please post it here?
In the meantime, I warn everybody that chances are if you are running this at home, your keystrokes are being recorded and sent to some remote site. This scares the ever loving poop out of me and disturbs me that a company like Ford is doing this.

Did the screensaver come from Ford? And who's to say it was turned into a keylogger by Ford? Some hackers could have done it. What better way to get some info than by piggy-backing it on a popular item?
Also have you notified Ford about this?

anyone else who is looking for the ss, go here:
http://www.fordvehicles.com/2005must...ads.asp?bhcp=1 that way u know it's an official release. if you did get it from ford, maybe there was already a virus on the computer that turned it into, or was using it as a keystroke recorder? seems really odd that ford would intentionally do it.

There are two screensavers.... I have the one with the speedometer and tachometers that change colors. Is this the one you guys are talking about? I don't have the other one, and will not download it now, so I have no idea if I have the right one or not!!! Help clarify this please...

That must not be true for everyone, I run the screensaver at work as well and if there was any suspicous activity, I would know about it. I am in the military and they watch their computer systems extremely closely.

not good... no more screensaver...
maybe they won't allow you to buy a Mustang if you have been bashing Mustangs on the internet "No Mustang for you"

Nah, they are counting all the bashers and planning for increased sales in a year or two. Rumour has it that these models will not have a reverse gear but rather a "backpedal" feature.
