What a fantastic car, you guys are so lucky. Ford have no plans to bring these to europe, so those of us over here have to import them ourselves. I'm getting my order in as soon as the Stateside dealer I'm in contact with opens his order book for IUP cars.

Man that $5000 convertible option is expensive. I think the 2004 was $3000. Way out of my price range. Hard top for me. If you want to make your car stand out, put $5000 in performance mods in it.
I'm annoyed they show the 18" wheels that are not availiable. The thing that really angers me is how they took the antenna off for all the promo pics. If they think the antenna is so darn ugly they shouldn't have put one on in the first place. They are almost acknowledging that their antenna design stinks.

man I'm not diggin the way that top sticks up when it's down..looks like they had trouble getting the top into the space for it .
I dunno this thing just isn't doin it for me. Coupe here i come.

I am really impressed with the convertible, just a gorgeous car. Ironically, when I saw that the car was wearing the oft-delayed 18's my thoughts were somewhat in line with Brads.
Why is the one great retro feature they neglected on the new pony a wheels with some actual dish/offset to it? I want to like the 18's, but I would rather just get the base wheels and order a set of Torq-Thrust Classics and have some dish in there.
And, the boot is kinda tall....but it is strangley reminiscent of Porsche boots before they went to a hard boots a few years back.
That said I have always been a fastback guy myself. I just wish there was a fastback with a sunroof option in it. (Yeah, yeah...I know we've been down that road before.....no need to do it again)

That's like calling the GT a "specialty" model.Love the overall proportions and the 18 inch wheels look great (and really SHOULD be an option if they are gonna show them). But that boot cover stinkS!!! I am very disappointed with how far that sticks up (reminds me of an old VW Beetle convertible boot).

Wow the car loses alot of the great lines it has with the vert. The vert looks too straight . The fastback does alot to make this car look retro like it was made to be and was intended for. And that's not to mention how the coupe really stabilizes the strength and rigidity of a car. With a vert everything loosens up drastically over time, rattles all over the place .. This is because the skematics of the car when first manufactured was never intended to be a vert.. Frankly, I wouldn't get a vert if it was cheaper than the coupe, let alone more expensive.
.................... what a beauty and when are the Coupe and Convertible coming to Europe ???
