From what i have been reading in these forums and stuff is that there are only going to be a specific number of 05' Gt's available. Does that mean that in a few months i will not be able to just go to a dealer and decide to buy this type of car or will there be enough producted to where any consumer could buy one?

Yeah...it'll be a tight few months, especially for the GT - of which I'm now a member!

That is pretty much the reason why I pre-ordered. I wanted to be able to drive around as one of the only owners of the new stang until everyone and their brother owns one in the spring.

I was also worried about not being able to get a Mustang GT around christmas. But then again, Lets think about it, we live in the US, All we have mass produced is Ford, Chevy etc. So....I dont think itll be such a big problem. On the other hand, It will be hard to not stop thinking about getting one after seeing people driving them up and down the streets the first few weeks of launch. :worship:

I do believe that Ford Mo Co workers go on a 4-week vacation around that time... I wonder if that will affect production?

At some point - probably by Spring - there will be Mustangs on every Ford dealership's lot.

Like others have said, it will be tight for a while but when the manufacturing gets rolling in high gear, truck load after truck load of the new ponies will be seen everywhere.

Until then, we'll just have to be patient. But I'm sure Ford wants to build them just as fast as we want to buy them. They can't sell (and make a profit off of) what they don't have available.
