So the 03 Cobra wheels will fit...hmmm...but this car begs for 18" wheels. I know afswheels makes 03 Cobra replicas in 18" sizes.

Is it just me, or does the 4x4 stance look even worse with these wheels?

They used the wrong size tires on them, that's why the wheelgaps are so huge...

I thought the offset on those rims would push the rim way out past the fender, doesnt appear to be so.

yeah because the used 255/40/17. The sacrificed the diameter :nono: to get lower profile tires on there.

Those Tires do not look good at all on these cars. 18's and up are the really mods.

Those are the old size of tire. The gap will increase because you are using too small an overall diameter.

The original cobra r rims look really good. The 00 R rims are too skinny. I also agree with a lot of people who've posted...I think this car needs 18's (see 00 Cobra R rims....although they are the wrong overall diameter, they look good in the 18" size).

Conclusion: The old SN95 rims and tires are not suitable for the 05.

The new car finally has different and more common ET values, so you can find heaps of nice rims in the regular aftermarket.

I didn't think the sn-95 wheels would fit... that the lug spacing was different?

Lug is the same, offset is different. Don't put SN95 rims on the 05!

Thats what I thought. Do the rub calipers if you do? I was telling a friend of mine who was talking about swapping his old black bullit wheels on his and I told him it wouldn't work.

They should fit but they'll stick out about 1/2" farther if they are factory 17x8 94-04 5.72" back spacing.

I think if your staying with a 17 inch rim the 255/50's are the best size, any lower profile just doesn't look good.

Guys, after seeing this post, I called gefracing after looking at the web site. I had bought several things from them in the past for my 95gt vert, (Nice honest people with good advice in my past dealings). I spoke with their rep and he said that they tried all the 17x8 rims in their inventory and all of them fit and looked good. the reason the tires put on were 245 45 17 and other size tires is because that is what they had in inventory and that they were already mounted to be sold as packages. he did say that 17 x9 or 18 x 9 pushed out side of the fender just a little bit, but still looked OK.

As the Mach 1 or Mag 500 style is one of my favorites and you can get them at 124 shipped, I am reconsidered my future wheel choice!!

Sam, I seriously suggest you don't buy SN95 rims. They don't look that great.
