Take it for what it's worth

Paul J. Russell, the current marketing manager for the Mustang, said a new V-6 lists at less than $20,000 and a loaded GT Coupe sells for slightly more than $30,000.

Found on stangnet

man 30K for a loaded coupe..OUCH! that would be alot of green. Man I got my loaded on for 20K.

Fully loaded meaning convertible (28k) with Shaker 1000 (1300) and 18" dubs (1200) which brings you over 30

Man I sure hope not. I think $30k for a coupe is more than I could afford.

About how much would the monthly payments be?

Ok, I say we place a ban on all pricing related threads. Let's just wait the 1 month left and then we'll all know IN REALITY what the prices will be.

That's from an AP story, and they've been known to be wrong before:

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/au....12fe23361.html

http://www.citizenonline.net/citizen/archi...ADD9CB909C9.asp

Same story, two different places (and you can find more).

However, even if it were accurate, a 40th Aniversary coupe lists for ALMOST as much as a Mach 1 right now at around 28-29K. I'm sure the "base" GT equipped comfortably won't be much more then what we've seen. But, like other have said, that is squarely in convertible territory.

hey guys,

when i was at the houston car show a few weeks ago, the dood from ford was giving his schpeel about about the ford GT and mentioned a price for the fully loaded mustang GT.

he said...and i quote, "the fully loaded 2005 mustang GT will be 28k and some change."

he talked about the shaker options, wheel size choices, etc...so i'm assuming he meant with all of the upgrades in it for that price.

hopefully he's right.

I don't care if it's $30k, I'm buying it anyway. I was about to spend that much on a base model Maxima. Waiting for the Mustang instead is supposed to be saving me money

dont forget to add the auto tranny in the "loaded" price - therefore the 5-speed manual wil prob be $1000 (approx estimate of auto tranny price) cheaper

Let's remember that a 2004 Mustang GT coupe, fully loaded, is over $29k. So if a loaded 2005 GT Coupe is over $30k, that's hardly a big deal.

Deep breaths, count to ten ...

2004 Mustang GT Premium Coupe - $29,050 MSRP ($26,787 Invoice) with every option excluding the 40th Anniversary package.

You've got to pay to play. And the fact remains you will still be able to walk away with a great Mustang GT for 25k if you can resist all the options.

I will resisit every option. The only option I need is to have a 300 horse V8.
My passengers can live without amenities. I'm gonna be having to much fun to care about anything else. :drive:

I will be calm. I will wait. I will find my happy place and stay there for 27 more days....

Darn, my happy place was supposed to have leather and an automatic!

I will be calm. I will wait.....

Until May 17th, all we can do is base it on 2004 prices. I seriously doubt the '05 will be more expensive than current prices because Ford is still trying to get the same demographic.
