I appreciate a Shelby, Boss etc as much as the next guy but I certainly think the 'owner modified' mustang doesn't get the props they deserve at most car shows. I appreciate the fact that someone has a $50k plus vehicle but without the owner modifications making it their own, I just don't feel the personal part of the car. 
I gotta agree, a custom car [done well] will always hold more weight with me at a car show. Just knowing that so much more went into making it what it is. And its more of a gamble on the owner's part. A customization could make or break a car, but a BOSS will always be sexy. It's almost too safe
