2005-09 Roush Extreme Axle Back/Muffler Deletes

I'm looking to replace my Magnaflow street axle backs with either the Ford Performance FR500S (GT500KR) axle backs or my first choice of 05-09 Roush Extreme axle back/muffler delete resonators.. Anyhow I'd like to know as to which would sound best on a 05-09 GT 3V, as I'm looking for that deep, throaty aggressive sound, but don't want the annoying cabin drone while cruising at highway speeds.. I'll also be pairing them with the "OEM" catted H-pipe and stock exhaust manifolds.. In the meantime, here's a link and image for the 05-09 Roush Extremes..

I also have the Magnaflows ...
I'm getting the Pypes Violators delivered today.
I'll let you know what I think.

Just by looking at those Roush pipes, I think it is safe to say they are going to be LOUD. Not sure if that means they will drone.

The great thing about the FR500S mufflers is that they produce zero drone, and volume is moderate on light throttle cruise. When cruising on the highway you can hear the exhaust if you listen to it, but it is easily drowned out with the radio and no problem for a normal conversation. Heavy throttle and/or high RPM and they do get quite loud. I have had several people comment that my car is one of the best sounding at Track Night.

But the FR500S are expensive for sure . . .

I actually had Pypes Violators on my first S197 GT.. They sounded great, however I was not able to line up the driver's side with the passenger side.. I wound up having to take my car to a muffler shop and have them re-adjust the passenger side hanger in order to line up evenly with the driver's side..

So don't be too surprised if you end having to do the same with yours

They supposedly claim they don't drone being they're a high-flow resonator, but I still never the less have my doubts.. So what I'm going to look into for the time being, is reinstall my Mac catted prochamber and see if that wakes up my Magnaflow streets.. If it doesn't, then I'll look into either getting the FR500S axle backs or Borla ATAK's
