Cool if its true.
"It is not just a Mustang, but a legend. This car was 1 of 4 SVT's exclusively used for testing in preparation for the new 2005 Mustang. This car was driven by John Coletti and his SVT team. It was used as the bar for production Mustang's for many years to come. Even more unique this car was only 2 that left the facility. At this point it was put on a Ford dealer lot to be sold. To the unsuspecting eye it is another Cobra, to the Mustang aficionado it is a Legend."

I don't think that this is true, owner must just be trying to get extra value out of the car.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the 05 on a completely new platform from the 04 Cobra? Plus the Cobra had an IRS and is engineered completely different.
New models are built up completely from scratch through the prototype process.

I checked build date and in service dates, vehicle was built August 15, 2001 and shown as in service August 15, 2001. This usually indicates a vehicle built for internal company use, whether it was used my Mr. Colletti or not is debatable. Also if it was used for any '05 Mustang development is highly unlikely.
I got the local crew working on it. Some of the guys on the site have partied with Angela.
K... so far I've gotten...
Anyone knows who's car this is?
If this is all true.. Imma put my car up on eBay for $52,900.00 and state that Bill Ford Jr. farted in it.

This is the response from John Coletti himself through his daughter Angela:
Angela, I read the description and it sounds like a lot of normal aftermarket type work. This really falls onto the potential buyer to see the car, drive the car and decide for himself whether or not he wants to buy it. There's nothing unusual or extraordinary about the vehicle.

I also noticed that this seller had no pictures whatsoever of any documentation.
Just another guy trying to make a quick buck off of an unsuspecting buyer.

Wouldn't Ford have destroyed it as a prototype?

There's still a few prototypes in the area. This the Sonic Blue GT that's at this engineering place not too far from me.. not at a Ford building.. probably a supplier.. that still has the blue and white camo.
