Thumbs up

After placing my order with a CA dealership, I had a MN dealership try to get me to order the Mustang from there dealership instead.

They gave me the same $500 over invoice deal and threw in 2 Years Free Maintenance to convince me to go with them instead. It sounded good to me, so I replaced my order with them.

The dealership said that I could go to any AutoNation.com dealership to receive the free maintenance. He also said that it is worth $300.

What do you guys think? Is it worth $300 for 2 years of oil changes, etc?

Is there an Autonation.com dealership near you? And would you have to pick up the car from MN? First I'd make sure that there is a dealership nearby. Then, see if you can convince them to ship the car to that dealer. If they won't do that I wouldn't bother.

Over here, the norm is 3 year / 36000 mile warranty / servicing, with some manufacturers offering 5 year / 100000 mile.

I would never buy a new car unless Igot at least 3 years free motoring (except fuel)

Yes there is one about 45 minutes away or so in Valencia. Ford is going to ship the car to the closest dealer to me, which is Antelope Valley Ford (30 minutes), as part of a free courtesy shipping program.

When I said 2 years maintenance, I was talking about oil changes and tire rotations, etc. The typical 3yr warranty that Ford is offering does not include this stuff. No car warranty ever would.

Well then its totally up to you. If you don't have the time to do oil changes etc. or just don't like to then its probably worth it.
