Awesome - of course, since I'm an old coot, I'm a bit partial to the 65.

Both are beautiful.

Like the wheels on the '65 better.
Really like the grille treatment on the '05. Where'd you get it?

i like them both .. i cant wait for my local junkyards to start filling up with 05`s that have small damage or simply blown motors and are`nt worth fixing so i can get one dirt cheap and put a windsor or big block in it .. .. i love them but dont really want a new one for a driver ..

Thanks for the great pics of the '65 and '05 Mustangs! Being an older guy, I still love the 1965s and it's great to see them. But the 2005 is a beauty too.

Neat. I like how you can tell the '05 is definitely related to the '65, although it's interpreted in a modern way.

yea, even though they modeled it after the 68 fastback, they still look a lot alike. i would love to see it next to a red 68.... that would be a good photo...

moddled after a 68...i don't think so.. I think ford took peices of all the classics and made one great interprtation.

The 05 roof and c pillar are just like a 65.

He's absolutely correct.. Ford took it's design elements, from the classic 65-68, 69-70 Stangs, while also adding a touch of 03-04 as well, by combining them all together..Thus creating the Mustang's very own unique, and modern day interpretation of it's 40 year heritage..Also, the trunk lid is far more reminiscent of the 65-66 fastback, than the 67-68, in which the trunk is horizontal and not sloped, as is the 67-68..
