Is there anybody who knows if you can get these wheels on a preorder.I would appreciate any opinions.Looks like the 18 inch wheel I've read about comes with G-Force T/A's.I love this style of rim on the new body style.

Here's a pic of them and video of one leaving the lot......

There has got to be way to get these,I don't really like the other 17" wheel options.

The 18 in. fanblades have been discussed to death in here! I have actually taken a beating or two for mentioning them. I wouldn't expect to much of a response from people!

All I know is that they are NOT available and nobody seems to know if the ever will be. Start looking at aftermarket wheels!

fanblades are not available until 2006,

Not sure if Ford Racing will offer them in their catalog sooner

I'm probably going to go with some aftermarket wheels, more than likely it'll be something resembling the FR500 wheels.

Another thing I was thinking about was 18's up front and 19's in the rear, like they did on the Ford GT. How do you guys/gals think that would look?

I would be pretty happy if that happened.

oddly enough, I've seen those fanblade type wheels on a new explorer. I'll be talking with my dealer to see if I can get them on the new mustang, if the bolt pattern is the same.

Explorers have 16" wheels I believe. Let us know if they are the same but I doubt they will be.

Actually I believe I read on here (or maybe on s197mustang.com) that the fanblades will be available in the spring. First they need to build up a stockpile of the bullitt rims and new upgrade rims, then the manufacturer will switch to making a large quantity of the fanblades so they can be sold as an option. At least I hope that's when they'll be available, because I want those rims.

Waiting for the 18" rims to order my Sonic Blue GT

Hey boomer, where's swami?

Dan and I heard directly from Hau Thai Tang that there would be no 18's until MY '06. Unless brad comes back with new info, I will take that as the truth.

Same goes for S/E's in '06.. I don't see them coming until 2007 when the new chevy ponycar/revamped GTO hit the streets.

Galaxie you are correct.

I spoke to Hau yesterday, and there are no 18" until '06MY.

As far as S/E's, the only one offically that I have heard of that has been program approval is the '07MY Cobra.

Exactly what we've heard. Though the autoweek article seems to imply the S/E's are coming soon, the quote tells me they haven't started working on one yet "officially". That doesn't sound like 06MY to me. More likely 07MY after they release the Cobra and troubleshoot/monitor the 05GT.

Too bad about the 18's though.

No, it is 8-month-old data (1/19/04).
