No disrespect intended to any posters, but those who like Fanblades will say Fanblades; those who like Bullitts will say Bullitts. So you still won’t know.

I have (had) the exact dilemma. I will order my ’06 very soon. I thought I was settled on Bullitts, but every time I saw Fanblades, they grew on me more and more. I got to the point I was seriously considering Fanblades.

However, I noticed whenever I saw a picture of a car with Fanblades, those wheels are what drew my visual attention first, not the car.

Whenever I saw a picture of a car with Bullitts, my visual attention first was on the car, then the wheels looked as a good balance.

Don’t get me wrong - I like the Fanblades. But it came to a decision, for me, if I wanted the wheels to draw the attention or the car. I decided I want the car to be center stage and the wheels to be complementary. There are those who want the wheels to reach out and grab your attention and then lead you into the car.

Neither is right or wrong. It’s personal taste. Do what I did. Search and search for pictures of the complete car (not just wheel pictures), in the color you want, of each wheel. Then monitor your own reaction as you see each picture. As much as I liked the Fanblades, I just caught myself smiling at the Redfires with the Bullitts.

Then you’ll know.

BTW - love that Redfire above with the Fanblades. Almost has me thinking again ...

Both look great on the car, but I prefer the blades on the darker-colored stangs.

I like all of the wheel choices, but believe that you have to match the wheel to the color of the car. Just like I think the machined 17's are a must for Legend Lime and the polished Bullitts are a must for Vista Blue, I think that the Fanblades are a must for Black. There is something about that black center cap, that just makes them fit.

After seeing the bullits in person and if you really look at them you notice that your attention is atractted to the brakes ie. rotors and calipers. I do believe that this is because there is less contrast between the 2 , close to same colour. More importantly it is because the wheel opening between the spokes is larger and there is less wheel showing. You want notice your wheels not your brakes when you look at them straight on. Both are very nice though , but I bought the blades.

I've got a feeling this poll is asking "How old are you?" I think the older guys are going to say Bullits & the younger guys are going to say Blades. I kind of liked the 05 Blades but the newer ones look gaudey to me. Personally, I really like the Bullits!

Bullitts w/ painted calipers (and I don't have either wheel on my car, so I don't have a dog in this fight)

I am an "old guy" tho'

BLADES! No question here. Not sure if I count as a young guy in upper 20s!! Dont think I'm old yet though.

BTW, budders, your black spoiler delete w/ blades looks amazing to me!! That's the first time I have really seen a black S197 that made me say wow. Nothing aginst, black, just wouldn't usually be my first choice!

but yours is very nice looking!!

BTW, tint the windows and throw it on some sportlines and you're done...

I had to wait to order my car until the bullitts were available - well worth it. I like both, but the bullitts allow the added option of showing more of a painted brake caliper along with optional pony spinners.

You really can't go wrong either way, just get that car ordered!

Thanks for all the pics !! They have helped in my decision. I'm a huge fan of the bullits but for some reason , I can't stand the brake callipers and rotors being so visible . I think I'm goin with the fan blades. Please send more pics of the bullits. Maybe I'll change my mind again when I order. maybe I'll toss a coin when I do my order.

Just go with two of each and place a set on each side. You'll have two different cars everytime you take a walk around it. Oh, I'm kidding.

I wanted both actually. Could not make up my mind. Always liked the Bullitt's. But wanted something different also.

So I settled for The FanBlades, and Got a set of 17" Bullitt take offs for snow tires.

On Black Its a hard choice again. Im going to say go with Bullitts for Black.

I have the Fanblades and I really like them. Was not sure if I would when I ordered the car back in July, but when it came in I loved them. Both look great on the car.

Bullits. When we toured AAI last week, they were the rarest.[attachmentid=42857]
Yeah, I noticed the balancing too. Also looks like a 4x4 package, lol. Probably just an illusion with the camera flash and tire shine. To me, it just looks as if the fans fit the Mustang's wheel well a whole lot better, even though the tire & wheel sizes are identical. Individually (off the car), the bullits look great, but those fanblades are amazing on the car in person. Just MO.

to me the fanblades look funky when you stand back and look at the whole car. i like the bullits, they have some history with the mustang, they just look like they belong there more. however, im not a huge fan of the polished 18"s -- id rather them be painted or chrome with a lip.

i might have changed my mind after seeing yours, you done a nice job of polishing them up, they arent that shiney from the factory.
