The nice thing about chrome is that they stay nice and shiny. The polished have a clearcoating that usually dulls after a few years. when my blades aren't perfectly clean, they just don't have that pizazz.that is my only complaint about them.

Just keep cleaning 'em and wax once a year and it shouldn't dull that much Don't forget though that chrome can discolour etc. as well.

How much do you think these will cost if you go to the dealer? If you happen to know how much the "dealer cost" would be also would be nice because I believe I could get the "hook up" on that pricing.

I don't know, mayb its the angle, but I think the tire wall is too much....they dont seem to carry the effect of the 17 inchers over. These look incredible in the pics by themselves, but once the rubber is on, they dont look as cool. I hope it's just an effect of the piture angle. color etc. I was really wanting to get the argent or poliched version......please keep posting new picks with angles...I want to be sure.

It would be the same height with any 18" rim.....

This is how high the sidewall would look:

By the way, for anyone who likes the bullitt style, I think these look good.

Those 18" bullets look pretty awesome thats for sure ,but i think i still prefer the blades , but then again i fell in love with the blades the first time i seem them . We are lucky to have 2 awesome 18" rim styles to choose from , its just too bad they dont come optional with 255 tires from the factory too .

Chuck, I love the fanblades. To me they fit the car better than any rim I've seen.

As far as cleaning, everytime I wash the car I use Eagle 1 wheel cleaner. I spray the entire front of the rim plus all around the inside (tell me I don't go threw this stuff). Keeps them really clean. And if you wash your car as much as I do, they stay clean. Its important not to let brake dust and road junk build up on them.

The only problem I've been having is with the pony centercap, a bit of orange brake residue builds up around it and its hard to clean without using something smaller (a toothbrush maybe??).

I plan to clean them really well when I take the summer rims/tires off and give them a coat of car wax.

Do that and your rims should stay in good shape (except for the rock chips but that's life).

Dan

I'm sure that lowering the car by about 1.5" would change that dramatically. In my opinion, the problem is just too much air between the tires and the wheel housings.

Those on ebay sold for the starting bid of only $600. Surprised me they didn't fetch more... I'd go for take-offs anyway instead of ordering them through a dealer.

Thanks for the pics! I must say though, I don't like them as much as I thought I would. I think I still like the stock 17'' bullits a little better. More of an old school look.

I guess I'll wait to see them on a Legend Lime though b/f I make a decision.
