Cool '08: Ambient Lighting: Who's got pics??!?

I'm anxious to see what this "Ambient Lighting" option is to see if it's worth retrofitting into my '06.

Anyone out there have pics or scans from a sales brochure yet??

Here's a pic from one of the tread on it. Looks pretty cool, I'm getting it on my new 08 GT. Cost is around $295?

On the right side of the cup holder, is that the on/off switch?

I remember seeing the pics of the 08 Focus that was at NAIAS..
It was cupholders, under the dash on both sides etc.
More than just cup holders.

No kidding. It sure would be nice to be able to see inside the glove box at night! And heck, it's not that expensive to add a light to the hood.

Oh, and while I'm at it, probably for another thread, but, why can't they provide an overhead console for sunglasses and a garage door opener?

Any more pics? Does it light up anything else than the cup holder? One of the reasons I ordered an '08 (instead of '07) was the ambient lighting..

So... does the lighting match your car color? If so what about black and silver cars?

I read (on some forum, not an official source) that it will be connected to the MyColor feature, so you will be able to choose the color in the same way.

It's like MyColour on steroids
not only does it change the console lights, but the lights under the dash and cup holder as well. (colour configurable)

Hm.. Kinda is neat but i think its kinda ricey...Its just like putting neons inside the car. I've seen plenty of bashings on that here. Pretty cool that its controlled with the mycolor.. They should have made the radio change colors too..

It would be a nice retrofit if possible.

I think it'd be cool if you could not only change the colour, but select which lights come on.
So if you don't want the footwells or whatever... you can use it to just change the dash lights and cup holders or whatever.

Seems kinda gimmicky to me. I mean, if you can't find the cupholders in a S197 at night, good luck EVER getting a woman pregnant.

I think the correct order of things for Ford would have been to set up the MyColor feature so that the whole dash was changeable (not just the gauge cluster) and - as someone else correctly pointed out - put a damm light in the glovebox. Practicality over rice, Ford...c'mon.

How about a trunk release in the car?
