Well I took a trip up to Northern Ohio and saw my family and showed them the car. As I might of said before, two of my uncles work at Ford and they absolutely loved my Mustang. I just thought I'd let you guys know what they said. I just want to mention that they told me a couple of things about the new Cobra. When I mentioned getting the black shelby stripes in the future my one uncle told me that the Cobra's are going to come with that standard (White, Blue, and one other color I forgot...). And that it will be pulling 475hp. I don't know who they got the info from, and I'm not guaranteeing it's absolutely accurate but that's what they stated, and they have no reason to bs.

And as for Hau Thai-Tang, since he's created such success with the new Mustang, he got a huge promotion and is now in charge of all the vehicles in Ford's line-up.

My GT has now reached 1,100 mi, and they let me know to be sure to change the oil at 1,500 because it's crucial to a new engine because of the metal chards in the oil, etc.

On the downside, all of a sudden today...None of my CD's or MP3's are working in my CD player, like others have complained about. I'm ticked.

Just thought I'd let you all know, the lil' bit of info. Thought it was interesting.
Hopefully it wasn't a repeat.

475 HP sounds pretty consistent with what someone else posted in the rumor mill forum last night as well. I sure hope it's true. That would be a vette killer at a much cheaper price!

Remember the insurance plateau of 500 hp... I really think that they will under rate it. Just a quick blurb about the lightning. The dealership that sponsors my club is one of the biggest in the southeast... So big that it has a huge ford and chrysler jeep dodge dealership in one place... Anyway I was told that the chassis design for the srt ram truck was designed by ford and that they signed an agreement with dodge to not bring the lightning out until later in order to build the market a little more and get a return of their investment. This would also allow the sport/truck market to create a little competition...

A dealer that just happens to sell Dodge trucks told you this. I guess we have to wait on the Cobra because Ford designed the Viper too and they don't want the competition.

I doubt it.......

Not quite, he is in charge of all performance vehicles not ALL vehicles.

Right now those are the only ones I care about. I already have a pickup and a mini-van. Now it's time for a performance car.

God, me too. I love my 96, but its getting long in the tooth. And I hope they under rate it big time, like call it 400, really give me 500, and let me chip it and pulley it and exhaust it and and and..........

I hope they underrate it, to keep costs down, including insurance costs. I want a 550hp and 550Ft-lbs 5.4 Blower motor in it with a T-56

I can't see that stock, but with a few thousand dollars in upgrades maybe.
