If the color were still the same, why would they change the name?

I'd read that on another site. It didn't make any sense to me either, that's why I was asking.

i'm not sure if ford is going to do an exact replica of the old lime gold of the '60s, but if they do it would look like this

There is a lot more gold in the above pic. Sorry if that sounds totally obvious...you could always get the paint codes from both and go look them up on a paint site.
OK...I tried it. It's really hard to tell though...I'm sure in person the difference would be more obvious.
The link for the lime gold is http://autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/search...7-ford-pg01.jpg.

In 2000 my car color was called Amazon Green... in 2001 (my year) - 2003 it became Tropic Green.
Same paint code.. same color.

I'm still a little confused as to if it's the same color or not?

Thanks to everyone who's tried to help figure this out ... guess we won't know for sure 'til the "official" colors are out. Thanks for posting the colors Steve -- the Lime Gold definitely looks darker/muddier than the Legend Lime. I hope they don't change it.

They ought to move to a real Gold - like the Champagne Gold Metallic on my former '69 fastback (pic below).
Incidently, the '69 and '70 color codes are the same for this gold but in 70 it was called Medium Gold Metallic - same color, same code, different names!
