you have a tire pressure ok on your message center? I dont on mine!
anyone else have that?
[/b][/quote]

Mine doesn't. I have IUP and it was built in 2/05. I have an "Oil Pressure OK" readout, but not "Tire Pressure OK". As I recall, at one point it was announced as being included on the '05s, but it didn't happen. Unless it is was added as a mid-year change on cars built after mine .

I want to see an "Actual" photo of Vista Blue and Tungsten Grey!!!!!!

:hiding:
Brad, your reply totally cracked me up. hopefully soon we will all see the "new" colors.

If you go to this site, you can look at color choices and when you place cursor over the color, it changes the car color. Hope this helps

Personally, I don't put any real weight into those images Ford puts on their sites regarding the color choices. They never seem to look anything like they really should. So even though I don't really care for that Vista Blue image, I won't rule the color out until I see it in person or at least a real pic of it on a car. That's just me though.

The Vista Blue judging by the paint chip in the book looks a little like sonic blue but not as bright.

The tungsten looks like a light grey metallic.
can you please scan the paint chip pics and post :-)

It is my understanding that the tire pressure monitor will only tell you if your pressure drops 25 percent or more. So, I can't really see it as a big deal. Now, if it you could adjust the threshold to let you know if you've lost more than, say 3 psi, then at least you would improve your gas mileage by keeping your tires at the recommended pressure.

It just sounds like it's letting you know you've got a flat. For all of us who intend to take really good care of their stang, my guess is you'll keep a close eye on tire pressure anyway.

Just my $.02

Well at least now the meatheads you see on TV in high speed car chases eluding cops with flats will know enough to pull over and fill up their tires!

It's really kind of a PITA, i had it on my "04" MDX. I had a heck of time finding wheels that had the TPMS sender in it.

I imagine since its going to be required for all vehicles 2006+ that you will start to see alot more wheels with it

Just got back form our 2006 Ford Fleet intor meeting in Chicago. We received our '06 Fleet order guides. (Also got to see and sit in a prototype Fusion; GREAT car in this midsize segment).

Here are the changes I saw. I already posted the colors on a previous thread.

Integrated Tire Pressure Monitoring System [TPMS] comes standard on all '06 Mustangs.

18" Polished Aluminum wheels are avaialble [sorry no pictiure to scan]

GT HP and torque remain the same

My Color is still available

Convert "boot" is std for 2006.

Interior colors : Med parchment, Lt Graphite, Dk Charcoal, Red Accent is available.

I was able to force the system and order a Tungsten GT Coupe with red accent interior and I got a DORA back.

The changes above are the only ones I could see. All other options remain the same.

I don’t think Sonic Blue is still available for 06? I ordered a Sonic Blue GT 4/2/05 and I think it may get pushed into the 06 build year. I hope I can still get that color option. My dealer thinks I still may make the 05 build, as of a week, and they weren’t sure of the new color changes for 06.

Fill me in…

Thanks…..

Adam

Wouldn't it be nice if people knew how to and used a tire gauge!! I don't need some stupid idiot light to tell me my tires need air.

BTW if you really want to know the cause of Explorer rollovers it ain't the design of the vehicle but the lack of thought of the operator!! Just MHO. End of mini-rant.

My local dealer told me that they can't currently order the 06 Mustang's, because the system won't let them...

How do you "force the system"?

I read an article today that Ford is recommending you change your tires no matter how many miles or how much tread is left once every 6 years for several reasons. I think that while the reason may be valid it seems like we are going backwards in technology if we cant make a tire last more than 6 years.

It'snot necessarily that tires could previously last more than 6 years, just that people were using them for more than 6 years. A similar example is changing the oil...sure you are suposed to change it every 3K-5K miles, but the engine will still crank for quite a bit longer. It's not a good idea, however...

All they have to do is go to their concepts ordering system and place the order. it will be accepted. Use last years body codes and in the option section they can press the f1 key for help in the updated '06 options. Anyone who has ordered vehicles beofre can do it. problem is at a lot od dealerships, only 1 or 2 people actually know how to do it. Sometimes i wish i didn;t because you then become the answer man for all the salespersons. I have ordered 10's of thousands of vehicles in the past 20 years.
