The '06 pony package is on display in Tulsa, OK. All I have are these camera phone shots. I'll try to get some with my digital camera this weekend at the Mid America Show. It's got what looks like the same 17" Bullitt wheels as the GT's.

That V6 grill puts our GT's to shame. I wonder if that grill will fit a GT? Does anyone know? I would really consider buying it.

I don't know - when I got my GT I was wondering how it would look with the '67-type fogs and now that I've see the Pony Package I REALLY prefer the current GT setup. I honestly think the GT grill and lights look much meaner that the Pony grill, but that's just my opinion. I will say though that it does look better than the current plain V-6 grill.

Well maybe I did go a little overboard with my comment.

I think you do have a point there. Maybe if we could get the chrome pony with the rest of the setup and put it on our current grill and leave our fogs alone.

No I like the Gt fogs better, they are more retro 69-70 which are better. then these.
Ford should offer something different on the GT. I say get rid of the big pony and put the running pony with the red, white and blue vertical stripes and put it closer to the driver side fog lamp. Like this from 1969.

FINALLY a real picture of the pony grille! Cool! I've been waiting anxiously for it, I don't want my six to look like a GT but I don't like the plain grille either. The pony grille is just the treatment I'm looking for

The pony grille in my opinion looks MUCH more retro than the new GT w/ driving lights. The pony grille is very similar in appearance to the '66 GT grille, and with the spears and corral treatment really strikes a retro chord. The GT driving lights look great, and it does look similar to the '69 (I think you mean '69 rather than '69 and '70, the '70 had dual headlights rather than quad), but that's the problem too, it looks like quad headlights instead of driving lights. Oncoming drivers think you have your brights on, at least one guy has even reported being pulled over!
EDIT- here's a '66 GT pic for comparison:
