06 PCV Delete Question
06 PCV Delete Question
My 06 Whipple Supercharged GT's Crankcase is not being properly ventilated with the stock PVC system. I also checked one of the lines into the throttle body and noticed oil. I want to delete the PVC system, install a catch can and or breather. I have done a lot of reading but my head is turning…lol. I'm confused with the open or closed system and you can not combine the two. I was thinking going with the JLT can on the drivers side and a breather on the passenger side and plugging the Intake tube hole. Is the that considered combining open/closed? Maybe if anyone can suggest something? Thanks for any info….
You can go breathers but you're going to smell it.
Just install an Oil Separator on the drivers side. JLT is reported to be too restrictive (unless they updated that) not separating much while letting oil puddle in the lines and intake. Your Oil Sep should be matched to the proper CFM flow.
As for the passenger side you shouldn't need to do anything. The small tube/large tube creates a flow circuit (large=path of least resistance).
