how is that some people have just orderd an 06 not 2 months ago and are getting build dates already?

 

Because last week was the 1st week that Ford was scheduled to pull orders and the 1st week of 06's is the beginning of August. Someone had to be the first to be pulled.

 

ISELLFORD, I wonder how "late" the 18" wheels will be. That means the early orders will be limited to what we had last year ...right?

FRITZ, Silver, "05" GT Coupe IUP and the Works ....

 

Mine is a GT Deluxe w/ just the IUP as an option...maybe that's why I got pulled first.

 

Are all of the 18" wheels going to be late? My '05 didn't get built and I don't want any delays for my '06.

64W are still on a hold with no date in sight.

 

No... the 64E 18" wheel option is NOT late avail. I ordered the 64E (fanblades?)(I dont really care) option and I am serialized and have my VIN #.

64W is the late available option. Hey Ford... how about a picture of these?

 

Thanks for the info. I feel better now. I have the same vehicle on order as 06GT4me. My '05 order was through a small low-volume dealer, so I feel I wasted some time. I switched to a high-volume dealer and was told I would see my car in September. I'm keeping my fingers crossed

My wife and daugther suprised me with the tungsten die cast show car yesterday. It was a late father's day present. The car is cool! and will make my wait a little easier.

It goes by allocation nationally, filtered down to regions, filtered down to zones, and then to dealers by their priority code. My retail orders have priority codes of 10, 11, 12 and the 10 pulled first.

Only if there are other orders with lower priority numbers.

I think my 05 order was a 24 and at hat time, there were 7 ahead of me which would have made that person a 17.

Its not really the number, but the relation of your number to the other orders. It's really just a place holder.

Ask how many orders are ahead of you. That's what it really boils down to anyhow.

 

Hey Ed,
I ordered my 06 an hour ago and the sales man gave me a copy of the order he entered in the computer. Is this my DORA? It says "Targeted Product Offering Vehicle Order" on top of the print out and has all the detail of my order. It even has the retail and dealer invoice price at the bottom.
When do I get 'serialized' and a VIN number I am reading about on the TMS site?

I'm not sure what that is you got from your dealer... Maybe Ed can let us in on that one. When I ordered I walked out with a VOC (title at the top: vehicle order confirmation). The dealer should get a DORA (title at the top: dealer order receipt acknowledgement) a few days later. The DORA will have the same date as the VOC so dont think he got it the same day that you ordered.
Then you get serialized when Ford pulls your order and gives it a vin. It's great having a place like this to share info huh.

The middle part of the page is where the VOC Starts, The top part is just computer jibberish. I will ask for my DORA then on monday next week

 

ISELLFORD - Is the 64W even in the computer/system? I mean can I order this option and get it as it becomes available?

 

64W is in the system, an info message pops up under the order input screen that says "64W Premium Aluminum Wheel-Late Availability"

 

I have a question for you Ed (ISELLFORD), my dad’s friend is a friend of the dealer I am going through, Pacifico in Philly, and when I tried today to get my dads friend to get a VOC or DORA he was told its not possible and told me a load of BS. He wouldn’t listen to me when I was telling him the information he is going by is dead wrong. Am I getting screwed by this guy or is information getting messed up along the line. I didn't want to argue with my dad’s friend but I'm hoping in a few hours I will calm down a little. Because after hearing this I wanted to pull my order with the and look for a deal elsewhere.

What would you recommend, the only thing I can think of is calling up and finding out how messed up my order is. My only problem with this is that I don’t know if he dealt with a salesman or the manager.

My order should have been placed on 6/27.

I sounds like the right hand and left hand not knowing what is going on. Have you spoken directly to the salesperson you are buying the car from? I would go see him and ask for a copy of the DORA. if you ordered that long ago, there should be a DORA avaialble.

 

It turns out my dad's friend ordered directly from the owner so I can't call him up and bug him. The owner is a close friend of his so I am hoping that he just doesn't know whats going on. So now I just have his word that its going to be built in reasonable time. I figure that if he doesn't have any info for me by August I'm going else where. So I going to be on edge till then and bug my dad to give me the guys name and number.
