OK folks...I am new to this board. I have been reading so much here about how the 06's are going. I have had 3 Stangs, the 06 will be my fourth. I am just trying to figure some things out here...I ordered my GT Premium in Mid-July.
I don't know if I should be embarassed or not but how do you all get the following info that I see in your signatures?

Ordered...............06/03/05
Serialized.............07/14/05
Build Date week....08/15/05
Locked in for........08/17/05
Shipped...............08/19/05

Also, I have been reading folks talking about the ERL # and tracking it somehow. I feel dumb...

Anyone feel like helping? Cool.

Hey, where'd you get that example from?

We use the 800#(nicknamed the "Evil Robot Lady"). It's supposed to be a dealer only number that got leaked. You call that number with:

1. Dealer number
2. Year car you ordered
3. Body Style
4. Order number

All of these can be found on your VOC, vehicle order confirmation. The dealer could print this out for you when he takes your order. Or the DORA, Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement, which the dealer will get a couple of days after your order gets submitted. This is more accurate though, being Fords acknowledgement of what was actually received.

No problem!

I edited my above post with some info. You can also search for "erl" or, if you have a VIN# already, go to http://www.blueovalforums.com/index.php?showforum=11 and find the thread by "Kzinti" about 2006 Mustang orders. Post your VIN to Kzinti and he'll fill you in on your status.

Thanks! I already feel very welcomed. I may spend a month or 2 here awaiting my new girl...
I have not been through the "Performance White" Thread as of yet. It took me a bit of time to get firgure out what I was doing and to get my nerve up to ask. You all have been awesome. I am calling my dealership tomorrow to see about getting an order number/Vin#

Thanks all!

Congrats, and you may end up spending even more time here. Perfect place to see all the cool things people are putting on their new Stangs and get ideas for yours.

Yes, at this point the ERL wont be much help, Kzinti at the above link is who you need to contact with your VIN and railcar # for tracking.

OK folks...I need your help again.
I called my dealership today and asked if they could fax over an order confirmation so I could get in touch with Kzinti. They said they would fax it but I never got it before I left the office. So...I went up to the dealership tonight and the guy I bought my car from was gone. So this dude that really didn't know much told me my name wasn't on the list. I stopped breathing. So anyway, long story short, they found my order number. However, they only had a partial VIN on the order list. Is that how it is supposed to be or am I missing something? How do you go about getting a VIN? I think I am asking incorrectly...
I now have the Order number and Dealer code so now I can call the ERL...but I'd like to get Kzinti to check it for me...

Thanks again everyone!

I think he can only check it with a VIN.
You won't get a VIN until your order gets pulled. Your order won't get pulled until your dealer has enough allocation and any Mustang orders ahead of you are pulled.
Now that you have your order number and dealer code all you can do is call "The Number" and hear her say you're clean & unscheduled. (you also need to know your body type (T82 for a GT coupe)
Other than that you can only bug your dealer hoping he'll get tired of you and try to push your order through. Make sure you have a high priority number and most imporatantly he has enough allocations to get your order pulled. (psst... just between you and me... dealer's lie sometimes)

Dealer's lie?? Wow...that's unbelieveable...Hahaha.
It is funny to watch them though. They'll tell you anything to get you off their back. I think I will bug mine a little more.
And yes, I have gotten the wonderful Clean and Unscheduled.

Very nice car, btw.

06 GT Premium, Performance White, Dark Char, IUP, 18", 500 Shaker...
