I sell Ford vehicles here in Canada... We are a low priority Dealership when it comes to the Mustang, I my self (being the youngest Sales man here at age 24) have sold every one we have gotten in with the exception of one GT which is still here one my lot. I also ordered 4 others 3 months ago for Customers who left deposits of up to $2000. So I had to tell 1 of them that I would not be able to do anything for them, though it was only a week before the cars should have arrived.
Now that stinks for that person, luckily I was able to replace 3 of the 4.

The only other real crappy thing is that I won't get a Mustang Demo

My 06 order was just submitted to the factory. Will update as we go.

 

Cant help the way I feel, but Ford can kiss my a#%. Im sick of the whole ordering process, and the dealership too. The dealership still cant give me any info about my re-order on Jan 8th. I've waited over 20 years to be able to afford a mustang GT, and now Im being screwed. Ford really messed this one up! I'll never own Ford again!

Bill Z I dont know what you have gone through but I would think that if you were able to get ahold of the area Ford rep and let him know what is going on he may be able to help.

Don't bail yet. See my posts #12 and 16. Have the owner of the Ford dealership where you purchased your Mustang call Ford. Mine did and according to my salesman, the owner ripped Ford a new one.

There's no excuse for Ford to treat its customers this way. It was THEIR marketing screw-up. Not thinking there would be a great demand for the V8 powerplant...What were they thinking, that everyone wants a V6?? If I was concerned about saving gas I'd buy a Yugo. :angry:

Please do rag on your salesman to have the owner call Ford or the rep. Can't hurt. Just don't give up so easily. Hang in there buddy.

Bill . . . I agree with Jerry . . . . I didn't get any activity for 3 1/2 months and was POd like you . . :bang:

I called the fleet dude at my dealership last Friday and asked him WTF? He promoted me from a priority 16 to a 10 on the spot and presto . . . I got picked up this Friday. Give it a swing . . . it's worth a shot.

 

Ford needs to get their act together before the other carmakers respond with an answer to the Mustang in a couple of years.

 

Called my sales person today, she said ford will be making 05's through july. Mine is #2 on the priority list but could be the next one built due to my first car being damaged, and having me wai so long. I'll beleive it when I see It! Mine has probably been #2 on the list since Jan.

 

Hang in there Bill, once you get the car all the hassle will soon become a distant memory.
