I have noticed in a few of the show cars there is a blue leather interior like the red one you can get on the 05 Mustang. Does anyone know if blue interior will be available in 06, or was this something ford just did for a show car. I am dying to order one of these things, but i'll wait for an 06 if I can get a blue interior and the 18's, especially if the new Vista blue color looks like I think it will.

I'm going to test drive a white/red GT in the morning, so I'll ask my sales dude, but he doesn't really know anything more than what I have found on this site so I figured I'd ask around here. Who knows I may break down and order the silver/red or mg/red I've been thinking about...

The blue leather interior was actually a photochop by one of the car magazines. Last I knew there where no plans for new interior colors.

The MRT Interceptor has blue door panels also, I guess something they did to match the harnesses. I was just thinking this may be a new option for 06 since there will be 3 blue paint colors, and blue int would look good with titanium, silver, or white also.

I like the red interior ok, but my gf keeps telling me it looks 80's so thats starting to get beaten into my head and the prospect of a blue interior is much more appealing. Too bad they stopped offering white leather, I have always had a thing for white seats.

I would have to say that blue interior would be different, but I think I would still chose the red interior. I just love red. As far as white leather goes, not in a million years should it be offered on a mustang.

So that everyone is clear.

The color palette for '06 has not been officially confirmed.

Same for interior colors, although I suspect they will remain the same.

No Not at all. I'm very bummed about the whole thing. i turn on my computer tonight and look at all the topics.
1. IUP to be delayed
2. No more my color package
3. problems with my cd
4 sqeeky sqweek - my car is making funny noises
5 whining sound from the rear end gears
6- car feels unstable over 80 mph
7. suspension seems rough
8 red interior delayed
It's only been a couple of weeks people. What the heck is going on here. the 06 is looking better and better every time I visit the forum

I know what you mean. But some of those things shouldn't be too suprising considering it's a first year produciton of a new car. The things to me that are unexcuseable are the parts/supply shortages. They had to know people would be really excited about this new Mustang. And no matter what you estimate people will add as options, shouldn't you pretty much have enough of a supply of certain things just incase of the unlikely event that everyone wants say, the IUP package? Sure, it's almost impossible that not everyone will want one particular option, but if you know you're building 20,000 cars, shouldn't you make sure you have a nice stockpile just in case 17,000 of those cars should have a certain option on them?

White interior has been an option for a long time on mustangs. This is the first year I can remember white not being available.

Nothing is more ugly than a mustang with a white convertible top and white leather seats. The only color it looks decent on is a white mustang. It is ugly, and it is sell proof.

As far as it not being an option anymore just proves my point.

And one of the many reasons I'm waiting for the second run of this magnificent car.

If Ford ever does decide to jump off the bridge and produce a blue leather ICAP option I'd jump on it! That would look great in the Mustang as the chops looked fantastic.

Personally, I think blue interior would be a little over the top. Blue just seems too 'Pimp My Ride' for me.

Blue- nice- Imagine a white Mustang with that Motortrend Chop blue inside and blue racing stripes . Even better the blue ICAP with the running ponies from the 60s on the seats.

Red- Doesn't do it for me. I never warmed up.

BTW, I am one of the folk growing more disgruntled by the minute. I am nowhere near time to buy, but all these PITAS with Ford are starting to drive me nuts. Its getting to where I may wait to 06 to order, see if there is an orange, see about new ICAPS, or Se's since the second I purchase I have to keep it till Doomsday.

White is usually reserved for convertibles. And I love white interiors, just don't like how dirty they can get.

Lordy. I would totally take another industrial white car if it looked like that.
Add spinning bullitts to that lovely thing, a hurst shifter and you got something going.

Want a shifter like the 04 Roushes have!
