I found another paint chip on the front of my hood on my 06 GT. The car has only been driven 1400 mi on the interstate and I don't follow too closely behind other vehicles. I haven't heard anything hit the car, yet I have two paint chips on the hood. Paint seems extremely brittle. Anyone having this problem.

I have two paint chips in my trunk lid, no dents or scratches though. I have no clue how they happened and I'm not sure what to do about them.

I've heard this is a good system.

The paint chipping issue isn't just on Fords. My Honda has the same problem. I think the newer enviromentally friendly paints aren't as durable.

There have been complaints about the paint ever since the first cars rolled off of the assembly line. Within hours of picking up my car I had 2 stone chips just behind the door. The paint definately chips easily.

I have 7200 miles on mine and 3 chips in various places. I have touched them up, but it is discouraging how easily the factory paint chips. Other new cars I have bought in the past had much better quality paint.
The look is awesome, but you definitely ave to baby it; that was one of the big reasons for my purchase of a bra for the front end, since it is most likely to chip.
Also splash guards to protect the 1/4 panels. Vanity won't fix the marked up paint. If you live on a gravel road, buy a white car.

Langka is good stuff. I used it quite a bit on my Mazda for paint chips and scratches.

I've got some Langka on order. However, my spots are on the worse possible place ........on the hood! And yes, this thing gets babied.
