In the good old days it was end of July, beginning of August.

Recently the model change overs run anywhere from May to September (different times for different vehicles), so there really no longer is a "normal" changeover date.

That's odd. It's usually in August or late July. The Summer Shutdown in July usually allows for any changeovers. Since the '07 Mustang is virtually the same, they probably don't need the changeover time. Maybe the date is pulled ahead to start getting the '07 GT500 (Cobra) out for the summer.

With a Job#1 of 6/5, you won;t see many cars until July or August anyway since the plants usually close for 2 weeks around the 4th of July. Also at Job #1 the allocation numbers are usually so small that there will not be that many GT's to go around. Even if a person were lucky enough to get one of the 1st ones, that's still at least 8 months from now.

Well ISELLFORDS you might be one of the few good dealers on this site and very happy you are letting everyone know what is going on.....
Most dealers in the Northeast don't have GTs in Stock and many have not seen any yet.(Hummm 4 months i would think most dealers would see some?}But everyone has V6s...
Only thing I am saying if it was my hard earned money and there were no GTs in stock at any local dealers,I would wait till March so I can order a 07 GT.
If I order a 06 GT now maybe a Local deal MIGHT see the car by April or May in the Northeast.
But if I am spending $30,000 for a car I would ratter wait 2 or 3 months and get a 07 GT from a big dealer like you or some other big dealer in the south.
Thats why I didnot Get a 2005 GT in July because I knew I would have my 06 GT in early Sept...JohnnyT

Weird.
The weirdest is '07 Taurus production.
Job 1 in April '06 and Balance Out in August '06.

Intro'd, built and gone well before we even hit 2007!

I've seen a few dealers in NEPA that have GT on the lots. Give it until Jan, then they'll be eager to move them.

Maybe even Dec. Not sure if it's true but I read that dealers like to clear out their inventories prior to 1 Jan for tax reasons I'm sure ISELLFORDS can answer that one.
