I just got done test driving a pony package torch red V6 04, and I have to say that it was pretty darn nice. I know the 05s will be a bigger engine, and thats what I really like, but anyone think that the 04 is just as cool as the 05? I suppose its hard to tell since I havent seen the 05 yet.

 

Mustang hasn't looked good since the early 70's. I haven't liked anything (with the exception of the 05) since then. I first thought the 95 body was cool but that faded quickly. The 04's are an improvement but Mustang 05 blows everything away (except the original).

 

the 04's are nice, in fact me and my wife was just fixing to look into buying one , then I seen the 05, and seeing one in person at a local show really sealed the deal. The pics of the new stang are nice but seeing it in person is so much better. I personally think its gonna be pretty sweet to pull up next to someone that just bought an 04 in the new stang B)

The '05 is what got me interested in Mustangs again. Once hooked, I started looking at the '04's, and I can tell you that I like them alot. I drove a GT, and a Mach1 and found them both incredible. There is nothing like that growling V8. The only thing that makes me hesitate is that I don't have a great deal of legroom when I sit in the car - that is one big reason why I plan on waiting for the '05. If you like the '04 you sure can get a good price on one.

 

i love the current style as well. like i said in another post, i especially prefer the current interior to the 2005

I think 04's are great and are beautiful machines in their own right, as long as you don't put a big wing on the back.

But, the '05 will go poo-poo all over the '04, inside and out, particularly on the interior!

 

They're all great but the 05 blows them all away (with the exception of the first generation). You have to see this car in person to really see how great it is.

Of the fox bodies, the ones I TRUELY like are the 1986 gt hatch and the new edge 99-04's. I really never cared for the other years(although I've owned a couple anyway 90,95). Im just tired of them. Best Fox cars ever made were the 01 Bullitt and Cobra, and the Mach.

and when I pick myself up off the floor from the inevitable I just got.... I will own an 05.But of course only with a nice bank draft in hand before I go in the hades known as the ford dealership.

 

If you buy rare 04 Mustang , in Sept. 04 Mustang monthly pg73 they have write up about the last Mustang coming out Dearborn it is not the redfire convert GT it is a Sliver V6 Covert. going to Greensboro, NC rental place call Triangle Rac-Greenboro, rental car Company here the vin # 237974 of the last 2004 Mustang made. What MM said is ture that's the Mustang you should buy.
