JJGites, you have a PM.
I haven't seen a single 05 on the streets in and around long beach area. I am actually glad, that means by the time I get my car, I will still be getting looks on the street. (would love to have that happen)

I had a good buying experience at DREW ford, in La Mesa. Salesman was Lou Krone, and had no problem at all accepting X-plan, so I didnt have to haggle with him at all.

I got mine for a very good price at Santa Monica Ford. Ask for Pauline Cavin - Director of Fleet Sales and Leasing.

Edit: wow, after looking at their inventory, they dont have as many stangs as before. Bob Wondries had about 6 stangs, now they have half of that. Mustang are selling fast

Badandy: I agree with you Board Ford is great. Wish I bought my 01 from them. Board Ford has a great service department: That is so important. Those are the folks that will be addressing any problems that you have with the vehicle and hopefully fixing them. Board Ford service dept. gets an "A." Starr Ford in Glendale is charging a $3,000 dollar mark-up on their V-6 stangs. And the idiot salesperson told me that there will be a 6,000 dollar mark-up on GTs. What a moronic thing to tell a prospective buyer. But seriously, I personally saw a 3,000 mark-up on a V-6 at Starr Ford. I was outraged. I told the sales-idiot that in a few months once the GTs come in they will be selling at invoice. Come on its only a GT. Starr FOrd has to be the biggest charlatans for trying to rip people off in adding a 3g mark-up. But then again, there is always a desperate soul that will give them what they want. Wait around for a couple of months until the lots are packed with GTs, and then you will be able to get it at invoice. No one should ever pay more than invoice on a stock GT because the resale value is poor. Those of us who bought stock GTs and checked kbb.com are not too happy. I am personally going to wait until Ford works out all of the mechanical issues with the new stang.

I haven't seen a single '05 down here in San Diego. I ordered mine from Bob Baker ford in Mission Valley. Good experience so far, but everything I talk to him, he tells me that "I just got off the phone with my inventory guy, and he says that it's only gonna be a couple of more days." It was supposed to be here on the 13th. I ordered it in July, built 24Sep. Meanwhile, I sold my car, thinking it was going to show up last week. Help.

What is the X-Plan?? I think buying a stock GT $500 under MSRP is not a good deal at all. Considering that in a few months they will be at every dealership, you will be kicking yourself that you got a crappy deal. Besides, mustangs do not have a strong resale value. A stock GT should not be purchased for anything more than invoice. If the dealer doesn't like it:screw them. Take your business elsewhere. I don't understand why everyone is going out and buying these GTs and getting ripped off. When these GT will be filling the lots in a couple of months.

La Mesa Ford is very helpful. Encinitas Ford Sold theirs already at MSRP. Every dealership that I have spoken to in San Diego so far says they will honor all plans, same with Galpin. By the way I was at Encinitas Ford when they guy drove off with his GT and that has been the only one I have seen on the road, that was 2 weeks ago. Only liscenced Saleen dealer is Mossy in PB, they are also SVT dealer. Lots of SVT dealers though, and La Mesa used to be a Roush dealer, not sure if they still are. Also Galpin has a long list of people waiting for their cars so it might take a while through them, and Ken Grody for the record stinks.
