Should see plenty of the pacecar today if you tune into the NASCAR event in Kansas. NBC airing the event right now.

We're getting Mustangs back?
The troopers had them taken away last time for having too much fun with them.

Wasn't aware that they took them away. Nothing better for chasing down drunken rednecks on Friday nights..LOL

:::teasin::::

I have seen more than one Mustang pull down runners on "Worlds most dangerous police chases"

We got em back in 91. Apparently the troopers were having a bit too much fun=Now they have Crown Vics to make your blood run cold.
Last time I was in Georgia, they had black Camaros- its always fun to cross the border, those cops don't mess around-Georgia has cop hiders on the interstate, you don't see em on the sides till you get up on them and pee yourself in fear.

The 05 Mustang was the pace car for Saturday's Busch race also. Hard to really get a full look at the car with all the different colors on it but still pretty cool!!!!

I'm surely hoping my new car has less law attraction than the current one. I was out today playing and it seemed as if there was a friendly officer around EVERY corner. This car has always attracted the law. Gotta hate that.

GMAYS, NBC is doing a WONDERFUL job of keeping us from actually SEEING the pacecar. I don't like when races are on big network, they shove way too many commericals in there.

You all have the patience of a saint for being able to sit through a race. I couldn't do it anymore- even for a Mustang. Of course, I am sore because of Junya.

Doesn't Nascar.com have info on it?

Vehicles which run Pace Car duty are regulated by NASCAR, and must have Different from Stock suspension, If you remember the 94 Cobra just as an example... sway bar, springs, shocks, struts, tires, ect... all were changed for Pace Car duty....
I wonder what type of parts this car is using...?

I was at both the Busch and Nextel Cup raes this weekend in Kansas and let me tell you that there are at least 80,000 fans of the new Mustang. If they weren't before, then they are now. When each race started and the field started to come buy you could hear everyone talking about the new Mustang at the front of the field. If they didn't recognize it at that moment, then later during the race when a yellow would come out the annoucer would make comment about the beautiful 2005 Ford Mustang leading the field around and you could hear the buzz in the crowd at that moment. I got chills every time!
