I wish my 05 had a battery saver and automatic turn off of the headlights like the other Ford products. I have walked away with the lights on only to return later to see the lights did not turn off.

That little "ding, ding, ding when you get open the door with the keys in your hand...it's the O5 saying "hey dude, you've left my lights on and Ford was too cheap to install and auto off device."

Why not rewire them so they shut off with the ignition?

Actually the lights will shut off automatically - when the battery dies.

The 2005 Mustang DOES have a battery saver feature, though it does not control headlamp circuit. It controls the interior lights. If you leave a door or the trunk open, or leave a map light on it will kill power to the curcuit within 15-30 minutes.

I hate those automatic kill switches...... is there something wrong with remembering to turn off your lights? It's just what you do when you get out of the car..... and if you need to leave them on for whatever.... you can do that too.

How do you turn the headlights on, is it still a pull/push **** on the left side of the dash?

Some features are so common you expect them from model to model. Like a new base line.

I am not sure if this is a battery saving technicque, but my fogs lights won't turn on if the engine is not running. I was outside last night showing the neighbor and turned the lights on. He said the figs did not come on. After I turned the enigne on, the fogs came on.

Not quite that easy, you still have light the candles with a match and close the cover so they don't blow out once you get upto 18 MPH.

It rotates clockwise to turn on lights and pulls out for the fogs.

I can never get my "figs" to come on unless someone has started the "enigne", either!

Just for fun, Kluski. I get more amused by typos that I probably should!

Yay, more people running around that are full-functioning idiots. There are way too many people now that would of naturally walked off of a cliff or gotten eaten by a mountain lion. Sometimes helmets and airbags are a bad thing.
