'05 Mustangs hit Los Angeles
#1
so I drive past the South Bay Ford dealer on the 405 twice a day located in Torrance, CA. For the past month up on their big sign they have been showing pictures of the 500, Freestyle, Mustang, and GT all reading "coming soon".
Last night I noticed a change...It read "till Saturday"
Are you guys thinking what I am thinking?
I will be there overnight on Friday like the Mervyn's ladies "open, open, open"

I will go check it out at southbay on Saturday.
They did tell me that they will get the more 05's than any other dealeship in the area and also will get it sooner than anybody else.
Well this could be the reason they didn't want to negotiate on price.

I saw a black loaded 05 GT at a dealership in Killeen, TX last Fri. They only had it on display 2 days and it was the only dealership in TX to display it. License plates were Michigan and said Plant Manufacture.

I checked with my salesman today. He checked the system and as of this morning there are no '05 Mustang's within 400 miles of St. Helena, CA. He says the train yard is in Benicia, Ca. Then they truck them up from there. Only about 40 miles. He says all deliveries happen at night. Under the cloak of darkness.
My car still lists TBD as delivery date.

I called South Bay Ford around 5:30 this evening and left a message with the Internet Dept about the 05 Mustang. I told him that I heard they would be getting some 05 Mustangs in this weekend, told him what I'm looking for in a Mustang and he hasn't called me back.
I talked to one dealer last week that told me they expect the Mustangs to arrive anywhere from the end of September to mid October, and another dealership told me the Mustangs are due in 12 days.
One dealership told me that they have a Sonic Blue V-6 coming in with the IUP but didn't have any other information on that car.
I really want a GT, but I'm willing to consider the V-6 if it's the color I want and has the options I'm looking for.
The dealer has also offered to order a GT for me if I want to go that route...$500 refundable deposit, and expect delivery in 8 to 12 weeks.

Thanks for the heads up Miss Missy...guess I'll be making a stop by South Bay Ford this weekend. I was gonna go to either Hollywood or Beverly Hills Ford but what's a few extra miles?!?
