 I'm amazed no one mentioned the C6?!? If I remember right, Corvette has not lost, regardless of competition, for the past 2 generation changes (C4 & C5)
Good point, but the C4 or C5 wasn't competing against the first all-new Mustang in 25 years! The C6 is nearly completely new all around, but it's still not MUCH different than the C5 in the looks department.

I think some are forgetting that value is a serious consideration in MT's car of the year choice. Look at last years's winner... The Toyota Prius. Not expensive, but very important just the same. Also, I'm sure a greater majority of the buying public (whom MT caters to) think the Mustang is far more attractive than the Chrysler 300 Mack Truck.

The new Mustang should definitely have the most 'bang for the buck' as Ford puts it. I guess we'll have to wait and see what MT says in it's upcoming Mustang review to get a better idea where they stand. Reguardless, It should be an interesting race between those three.

I think the MT COTY availability is Jan 2005. The 300C wasn't available last January so it will be eligible. By then the Mustang will be out. Both will probably be in the running.

I got to drive a friend's $37K 300C black/black leather/sunroof all options except navigation system. I drove it in town, on the freeway, even parrallel parked it (mirrors turn down to assist). Pedal to the metal a couple of times. I was doing 90 without thinking about it. I was very impressed! The only complaint I have is the carpet looked low rent.

It was good enough that I thought Chrysler should reintroduce the Imperial. It was luxurious as a Lincoln or Caddy. But the Mustang isn't in the same price range and will have different buyers.

With the new Corvette it looks like a Golden Year for any car enthusiast of the Big Three.

The C6 release is too quiet IMO. Media is going nuts for the Mustang. I don't think the Vette it will win. It will come down to the 300c and the Mustang. Right now these two cars are the most popular things in the entire auto indusry.

Has anyone else who has driven a 300C noticed the poor visibility especially looking forward through the windshield? Those windows look kinda cool from the outside but just drive it a while. I loved the ride and handling of the 300C as well as the styling but the poor visibility is hard to 'overlook'.

I'm psyched for a new V6 Premium - looking for a dealer who is willing to talk lower than MSRP.
