Hi everbody. I am going to the car auctions/shows/events in Monterey California. There are tons of auctions and displays of all types of cars, and I was wondering if anyone had any information on whether the 05 Mustang will be appearing there sometime in the next few days.

Not sure about the 05 but they are suppose to unveil a secret car.

I heard rumor that the secret car is a Cobra hardtop since the roadster was at NAIAS this year.

Yes, I have one intresting tidbit, I was talking to one of Jay Leno's Best friends here at NBC, when Jay got handed the keys to his Ford GT the other day. Since he knows a lot of "inside" Ford people, I asked him if he knew anything about the 05' he said no, but then he continued to say well you know the Cobra two seater that Ford Debuted? That program is over with, they are not doing it. But that Ford was going to unveil a special car based on a bigger platform that he said they referred to as a Viper Eater. Right after that he said, well Also they want to do one last Hoorah with Shelby before he's gone.

Take this all with a grain of salt, because I don't know him that well, but since I saw your thread, I thought maybe ford does have something else up there sleve. We will see. I just can't wait for SEMA.

I thought the Cobra Coupe is supposed to built on the Cobra Rodster chassis?! :scratch:

 

Ford does have a V10 coming, they also have a large displacement V8 that should be no surprise. Not sure of exact vehicles for sure (trucks definitely) these are going into.

Lots of 05 Stang verts still in camo running around Dearborn if anyone has a few hours in Michigan and hasn't seen any. Lots of production looking coupes as well.

 

That special car in Question is going to be the 05 BOSS with 350hp, due out in late March...

I saw the secret car as well as the Shelby that was in the trilogy. I saw it in real life. WOW! Anyway, I have pictures, but they are not digital and I dont have a color scanner. If there is anything I can do, please tell me.

Isn't the viper eater the new shelby GR1, I was under the impression that the shelby GR1 was the replacement for the roadster cobra?
