I have read the '05 Mustang build out date is August 05, 2005. Now BON reports '06 Mustang Job 1 date as August 08, 2005. Wow .. built on Friday you
get an '05 ... built on the following Monday you get an '06? Seems odd if true.

 

Why does that seem odd? Did you expect a longer time period for the MY change?

I'm no expert, but I think this is feasible, as there aren't that many changes in line for the '06. Especially since some of the colors will be the same, but those built that first Monday, might not include any of the new '06 colors.....

 

I'd think the only changes between MY's is just the parts they are using. Since the Mustang won't be re-designed they won't need to retool the equipment for totally different specs.

 

Any idea when we will hear about 06 MY changes (besides color and 18" wheel availability)? I know it's been asked before, but I haven't heard any good answers yet. I know that Ford is accepting orders for the 06 the first week or so in May.

My timeline is working out to where I could get an 05, or wait a couple months for an 06. If there's no other changes, I'll probably go 05.
