I read this description and thought, "it must be blown".

This guy must be a damned good driver!

At a track day I would imagine that a lower HP car with a well set up suspension could easialy out handle and drive around both the Vette and the GT500. Not to knock either car as they both in their own right are very good.

In HS I spent a lot of time at the local AF base (Otis) where they held SCCA events, my friend and I could both (if we took our time) drive around a lot of the vettes/cobras/vipers in his bone stock 5sp 3.8L coupe. The car had a very well set up suspension and great sticky tires. Most owners of those cars don't get that it's more about the handling and not the power. If you can't get the power to the ground you can't go anywhere.

So in summary at a Drag Strip this guy is full of it, but at a track day or local road corse he very well may be right

Yah, I guess that makes sense. That's why I wasn't so quick to call outright BS. Depends on the situation. Nice looking car, in any case.

edit: I went back and looked at it again. He does talk about track days, so that's cool.

It's a great looking ride and a great base for someone to grab and then add some FI and really turn the heat up

That always helps.

The suspension set up appears to be an excellent package for a road racing. The seller is likely telling the truth about the GT500s or Vettes, probably stock, although the present generation Z06 was not likely included.
